3rd story: Peregrine Diamonds continuing bulk sampling at Chidliak site
This month Peregrine Diamonds is continuing bulk sampling at its Chidliak site northeast of Iqaluit. Tom Peregoodoff is the President and CEO of the company. He says Peregrine brought a large-diameter drill rig onto the site, and workers expect to start drilling in about a week.
“I’m really looking forward to the time when we can sit back and all start to realize you know the value of a real economic diamond development in Nunavut.”
Peregrine recently estimated that Chidliak’s kimberlite pipes contain 8.5 million karats of high-grade diamonds. That is a 15 per cent increase over the last estimate. Peregoodoff says the next step is to do an economic assessment later this year or in early 2016. He says the company hopes to have a diamond mine up and running by 2020.

Looks like Tom is happily embracing the CEO reigns. Good to see....and it looks like our newfound CEO is going to be a lot more vocal/outgoing then Eric's quiet and recluse nature. LONG...PGD EKIM

Tom has always been the face and voice of PGD in Iqaluit/Pangnirtung. He is very well known in the community/Territory/Government. I have spoken to many people who are friends/socialize with Tom yet have no idea who Eric Friedland even is.

Eric said last year that they would build a mine in 2.5 years. That was before the last sampling. I might have mentioned it before, they know they will buid a mine. The only question was/is if we will see any benefits.
