News today

couple of things, not bashing, I own this stock and want to see it develop positively.

Now we know what management was doing overseas, not a deal with Chow Tai Fook et al, but acting like a company with a positive cash flow and acquiring a company. Not sure if were ready for this as there is still a very big hill to climb at home..

I will have to do some DD on Diamexstrat.

Last time I looked Botswana was in Africa, not the most stable part of the world.

Just because the region has 2 mines now doesn't guarantee there will be others, remember how hard it is to find them..

longinvestor, how is it we now have a direct connection to Chow Fook? please show me that NR, or have you been drinking someones koolaid?.

where is the money coming from, on a positive note, I guess we could speculate that the big three will actually exercise warrants because money is still needed to complete the PEA for chidlaik.

I see an obvious influence from Robert here, good.

how much cash does the new company burn through a year.

As it stands today, we have 3 exploration companies, PGD, exploration at Diamexstrat, positive cash flow is going to have to start or the paper mountain here will become Mt Everest or larger..

so far market has been neutral with a small 4K sell off..

Gauwd..When was the last time you "looked". Botswana is one of the fastest growing economies in Africa, is a democracy and although has a very sparse population, is quite stable. Quite the opposite from Northern Africa.  GL

woundedknee, with the greatest respect, it is Africa and in Africa countries can go from stable to chaos in weeks/months, how big is their army? Sparse population? 2 million people, actually. Would anyone care is ISIS decided it would be the next target of Boko Haram?yes I know, Nigeria is on the west coast, central Africa, and Botswana has a border with South Africa and Zimbabwe, now there is a ...more

You're right. Lucara sucks as their diamonds are very small with a very low market cap
Comment by Gauwd on Mar 30, 2015 11:30am
longinvestor, so how exactly does Lucara translate to us? Just because we live now in the same neighborhood? The trading floor is littered with companies who own property 'close' to rich neighbors lets wait to see how this funded, what exactly are we looking at before claiming we are the next Lucara, Oiltar has enough on his plate with Chidlaiks 'richest' ground in the universe ...more

Gauwd..your response is noted and respected. My curt response was not directed to you personally, but to your inference that being in Africa could be viewed as negative and In this case, at this point in time, I think it not to be.  gl

I hear Target has some retail space to sell, wouldn't that make a great showroom for all the fancy stones?  Might as well while the getting is good...

I see parents of overweight preschoolers letting them run around with supersized pops. What would happen if you mentioned something about that to them? Everyone's kid is perfect to them, who cares about health, social and all other problems they will have later, no? The same here. Try mentioning something and you are bashing. We all own (or most of us, at least) this stock. We all want it to ...more

my thoughts exactly mil, jumping into this now may not be the best strategy at this point in our development We need to understand where the money is coming from to fund 3 companies now, PG Diamonds, PG Exploration and now Botswana. The company has not explained thisWe are no where near a positive cash flow, how is all of this going to be financed, more paper??? Right, I forgot, Chow Tia Fook ...more

I re read the NR and there was something about the 450Kl loan that confuses me and maybe someone can enlighten me.  It says that this loan was originally advanced by Peregrine...what does that mean, that they had already llonged the 450K in the first place?
Comment by Fivecarat on Mar 30, 2015 11:40am
Hmmmm, perception about Africa, neg perception, automatically takes place...it's so hard not to.
Comment by byelosellhi on Mar 30, 2015 2:08pm
One missing item that concerns me is they don't say how many shares there were or for what price/share of DES Botswana they paid.
Comment by ekim on Mar 30, 2015 2:25pm
My intepretation is that they didn't pay a cent or issue or any new shares to Botswana. They basically took over the company in exchange for working on the property and giving a 1% royalty on future production. The company basically looked like it was strapped for Cash and this was a way out. The parent company gets future income (possibly) and doesn't have to invest anymore money into ...more

Agree Mike, no mention of compensation to them at all except the apparent ease on paying the 450k loan that Pgd provided for them in the first place? Looks like this company does not have much going for it except data correlation in the area...

I am not saying they jumped into anything, at least not yet, Gauwd. It seems it cost them nothing, they just promised them the 2 birds in the bush, no? It all depends what the next plans are. I hope they are just looking for a hobby for the times after they make all of us millionaires. For now this could bring more problems than advantages the way I see it, though.
