WillP

Might want to check his calculator battery. He targets 28.6 million cts @ $213 per ct for a gross rock value of $3 billion. My calculator says its $6 billion:

Eric Friedland and Tom Peregoodoff's Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. (PGD) closed unchanged at 18 cents on 97,000 shares. Peregrine will base next year's preliminary economic assessment of the Chidliak project on Baffin Island on just two pipes, CH-6 and CH-7, but at least three lower-priority kimberlites, CH-44, CH-1 and CH-31, are likely to figure heavily in an eventual mine. Peregrine currently has 8.6 million carats in a CH-6 inferred resource and up to 20 million carats more deemed a target for further exploration, a majority of them also in CH-6. If the CH-7 diamond value proves comparable with the CH-6 valuation of $213 (U.S.) per carat, the dream sheet could be contemplating a project with a gross value of $3-billion (U.S.).

20 million cts in only CH-6 valued at $250 CDN makes the CH-6 worth $5 billion CDN in only one small pipe folks. There is no way in HLL this stock should be trading for less than $1 and that would still be a gross undervaluation of only $300 millionCDN. At one time I was far ahead with my prediction that GK was worth at least $17 billion when no one even thought it could be a mine. I will now ...more

I agree with your statement that Wil's calculator is misfiring based on the comment you posted, he is however, looking at a different set of numbers, he is no fool. The one thing that I find interesting oiltart, is you consistent lack of looking at the whole picture when doing your DD. Consider some of these headlines (btw, printed in the last couple of days, not months and years ago as you ...more

cujo take overs don't come gift rapped with a warning lable.I have been involved with a dozen of them. How many have you?

Why should anyone answer any of your questions when you refuse to do so?

cujo I don't follow short term diamond prices and never have when I do my DD.They are a distraction to the big picture as you put it.I follow supply demand and so does debeers they look at decades when they plan a mine.Short term wiggles in prices have no bearning on long term plans. If companies paid all the attention to daily price quotes there would be no mines in the world to mine.

The same idea was brought up about daily stock prices. Long term the daily price fluctuations might not be too important but direction is. If you ignore that what else is left? And if you say fundamentals then you have to explain how do you look at fundamentals without price.

oiltart, I guess you didn't take the time to read any of the articles I posted, diamond prices have been in decline for over 5 years, not short term, and yes, like you, I have been involved in landfills of take overs and like you I choose to be an anonymous poster on a public chat room. Also like you, I choose to be extremely handsome, have 7 concubines, live in a Penthouse in New York. Your ...more

cujo does Robert Friedland own your Penthouse or play with your extra flings? Have you ever spoke to Eric or Robert on the subject of PGD? I will stick to my knitting regardless of Penthouses or concubines.I have stayed with the same one concubine for 30 years .More than one might be too costly for my Viagara bills and I could not stand the nagging of 7 anyway. But I guess your 7 keeps you very ...more

oiltart, I am glad you are beginning to see how ridiculous some of your posts have become. I am glad we could help you. Keep the faith brother. I talk to Robert everyday as do you, heck, we probably even know each other.

Right now it seems no one cares. Major's or otherwise. The major walked.

I had never heard of the Carlin trend. Wikipedia says that it surpassed [cumulative] 1,600t of gold in 2002. That is incredible. There are similar trends that seem to line up kimberlites in Canada. Mantle hot spots stay "still" and deposit kimberlites into the moving tectonic plates above creating arcs of kimberlites. When De Beers kimberlite occurance data is plotted on a map, weak ...more

exdebeers I hope cujo gives me blessing to answer your question. His last post clearly shows he will not understand my answer anyway. But here goes. Carlin is the worlds largest gold deposit cluster on Earth it was found in 1961.But the gold was mostly hard rock, but about 10 million oz were produced placer. Then the play was abandoned as no one knew how to extract the low grades of the ore at a ...more

Interesting history again. Thx. You say "quickly emerging" towards 50M carats, I say Chidliak is "edging" towards 50M carats. So what of the PGD money in the bank. What do you think they will do with it?
Comment by oiltar on Jul 29, 2015 8:00am
Money in the bank?I know what I would do with it.I would keep just enough of it to reach the conclusion on the CH-7 results.Robert says the shares of PGD are undervalued. So then take that money and buy back undervalued shares to reduce the float now before they increase in value. Then post the CH-7 results to boost the share price. Then re-Issue the bought back shares at higher prices than PGD paid ...more

I would like to see them 1 - Drill the 3 holes into CH-7 2 - Move the drill over to CH-6 3 - Drill the 2 holes into CH-6 4 - As time permits Move drill not very far to the dyke area. 5 - Poke some shallow to medium holes searching and extended and defining the dyke. The dyke that was confirmed late, late field season last year in September. That is what I would like to see. An extra hole in CH-6 ...more
