Bold move by KDI

$48 million financing.

$24 million from Dermot and a handful of private investors that is non-brokered...as in, no comission charges to the company.

Another $24 million hoping to be raised by the various brokerage houses in Canada with a nice 5% comission (guessing) to dangle in front of the brokers to encourage them to convince their clients to participate.

de-risked the project on the $$'s end...but does not change the underlying fundementals one bit.

Interesting.

At the low of today's PGD's price equates to exactly $48 million market cap. KDI is trying to raise what PGD is worth...as deemed by the market place. LONG...PGD EKIM

+1 for that sentiment ekim. I am only staying alive since I diversified into mineral sands, coal, iron ore. Alas all these prices are in the toilet now. Water keeps me going as does work for quarries since the buidling industry is going OK still. I do work for a progressive mid -tier exploration company. They have a fantastic strategy of spending MORE money on exploration in these times. Saves ...more

Tsodilo resources may be a candidate. Though it may not be just diamonds that cause such a spike since they diversified. Their exploration manager is exDeBeers. Also Delrand/BRC Diamondcore would have been a candidate, but they went private or became an airconditioning company to something completely stupid I do not understand. Same exploration manager as above. GEM diamonds have really good ...more
