since Oct 1

including today, at the time of this post,  and assuming closes at .165,

12,199,452 shares have traded at an average close of 17.7 cents.

with this type of pressure, if there wasnt any institutional support, we would be well under a dime.

That is what I find very interesting.

Agreed Cudjo, PGD SP has shown remarkable resilience today. Really seem to have support at this level. A bit of good news and up we go!

Mrrbc, a few days ago I recommended to people on the sideline to start building a position here if they were really interested. If they did not buy then, this action might change the minds of a few, afraid that the price will not get to their target. We saw good action, but it needs confirmation. Unless the sellers are as stubborn as the buyers, tomorrow it sould come.

I know that if you begin to make near optimistic statements, that's bullish in my books!
Comment by mill44 on Nov 05, 2015 4:28pm
Like I told Kidlapik, with the results coming up and the chances of underdelivering so much that the price could go a lot under 10-12c slim, it is hard to be too bearish. If nothing else, the gambling aspect could support the price around 15c. To expect another attempt up before the news comes out is normal. I just don't like the uber optimistic views about the future here. Not without the ...more

I just have to say that Peregrine made me very happy. I am not going to go into details because I believe a private phone conversation should stay private but I will say that PGD management cares about their shareholders and has their best interests at heart and if you email them/call them THEY WILL RESPOND. Revitalized my long standing belief in this management. In the LONG RUN this will be a ...more

Thanks kidlapik, good to hear from you again, love it when our resident experts and long time posters are happy, I'm happy too, but I have had a Scotch ..... 1. Cudjo, take it even a tad further, from Stockwatch closes, since the beginning of August, 19.4 million shares have traded hands, todays volume being the largest since then, at an average close of 17.7 cents. So Gawd, if PGD does well does your profile pic get younger and better looking? I think it'll be tough, assuming it's an institution who is picking up the shares, to look a realized gain in the mouth at year end.  Not like it's been a great year for the markets. I didn't look at the trading until near lunch and I just missed the .16.  Bummer.
Comment by Gauwd on Nov 05, 2015 6:56pm
maggie, that profile pic IS a younger and better looking me, agree, will be hard for institutions not to consider locking in a 15-20% gain, or will it?  Lets do some math, assuming 80% of the 20 million shares traded since the beginning of Aug are instituitonal buys. 80% of 20 million is 16 million shares, at an average (I will use the average close because its easier) = $2,832,000 ...more

"maggie, that profile pic IS a younger and better looking me" LOL, I bet not.  :) I was thinking 8 or so cents will get them to a 50% gain.  The low .30's would be a double. They could eliminate their downside risk completely at that point by unloading half their shares. I wonder what that's like? Sigh.
Comment by mill44 on Nov 05, 2015 7:46pm
I don't think they are looking at 10-20% of gains here. Significant news is coming, the expectation should be at least towards the mid 30's, that's 50%. The only advantage retail has is being nimble, institutions cannot get in and out the same way. They will need an increase in volume to get out. That's why if we get good but not mindblowing news the SP will be doomed again because ...more

So the consensus is that the good old days of 50% gains on opening from great news is basically a dead horse?  At least with our little stock? Thats why I asked about where we might see this in Jan of next year as by then, most, if not all important sample information should be public.  Could the outpouring of news upon news be the only hope in keeping this above .30-.35 next year ...more

Interesting point in the last news release: "The revised Inferred Resource base for CH-6 and CH-7 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2016." PGD is already talking about CH-7 in terms of an inferred resource. It is not inferred until a geologist deems there is a reasonable chance of economic extraction. You can't make that decision until you see the valuations ...more

Mill I've been intersted in technical trading for awhile and finally threw some money at a subscriber site to learn the art of the chart. I think the person who runs it is great, but it strikes me as a grind 1% or 2% per trade most times, two steps forward, one step back.  I'm still not convinced that technical trading works very well with these venture stocks.  The volume  ...more

I don't believe in subscription services. You have to use something that is suitable for you and your style and more importantly something you trust. Commission is very important because cost will add up, sometimes making an otherwise good trade useless. Penny stocks are not worth your time. Volume is not that great and it does not cost much for one person to make a significant impact on the ...more

Yep. I said that we might see some surprising stuff when reports are coming out. Oiltar is raving how PGD is a must for everyone. It is not impossible that someone is building a base. That would be hard on us, because you would see another financing just to get the Friedlands back on top. If that's not the case then the news will have to be awful nice to counter the selling by the same ...more
