PGD used a smaller diameter drill to "bulk sample" the pipes. This is a great idea for saving some drilling dollars, but it seems the downside is an increase in diamond breakage compared to a larger diameter bauer drill.

Xdebeers, can you please elaborate on why a larger drill is more expensive to use, or is it as simple as the bit costs more?  Thx in advance.

Nice to see you back xdebeers...were you circumventing the globe looking for diamonds? I think they have reasonably (yet with a touch of conservatism) adjusted in the model. The statement about...could be greater than US$155/carat I think speaks loud and clear to the potential given more carats and a clean set. Question is no longer...what happened...it is now what are they going to do about it ...more
