Yes agree, fantastic tech information in general, thanks to those for taking the time to do so. I did a little research, if you could even call it that, about Baffin Island, and I was wondering with the the most recent info I could find, the population of the Island is only around 11,000 people and a pop of Caribou of about 5,000. My question is, does the island have the people power with

Griefman, I would like to answer your questions if you dont mind. I am a long time resident of Baffin Island and have travelled to every community on the Baffin island many many times. Currently I am sitting in the Igloolik Co-op hotel! Right now the "population" on Baffin Island is closer to 15,000 but that only counts residents. As you can imagine such a small population lacks the

You know Kid, the one thing I take out of your first paragraph is this, I remember back at the time bidding on the original Diavik project, unsuccessful mind you, but the point being twofold. One from a contractural stand point we had to throw every variable out there and from that aspect every contract was pushed high. Schneps, I know exactly what you mean haha even on basic residential stuff its the same. No clue whos going to work out and who isnt. The most successful contractors involve teams of guys who have been together for years, sometimes decades. Could not imagine how hard it would be to source all the labour for a $400mil project.
