Oiltar, just weeks or maybe days ago you sold a chunk of your position for the very same reason Kaiser decided to sell his. What changed since then? Except maybe that you have a bigger reason to push the stock now.

Huh, I guess I'm not alone in wondering about James sudden turnaround....Don't be fooled again!
Comment by mill44 on Nov 16, 2016 12:08pm
It's not about fooling, it's more of an issue about credibility. He is right that the fundamentals are strong for a buy under 20c. The only reason the market is keeping this under 35-40c is fear of management's plans. If you alleviate that, the repricing will be almost instant. I am just puzzled a bit because unless he talked to his insiders again, his fears and dissatisfaction with ...more

It's perplexing to say the least how people seem to only believe what they want to believe and ignore history, history only days, weeks old...when JK was James best bud and pointed to JK's 60 cent projection...I'm gobsmacked.
Comment by ekim on Nov 16, 2016 12:13pm
Not sure if JK knows anything we don't already know on PGD and I suspect he probably doesn't. One thing that did change over the last few days was tht SCY did release a milestone release in moving that eventually a mine. That may have been good enough to convince JK to boost up SCY over PGD. The question then is whether JK putting more eggs in one basket over the other and what are the ...more

One thing is for sure by now, unless the management is completely blind or serve other interests, they must know that the market does not want another rights offering, no matter how fair they are to shareholders. Or at least not at a 50% or more discount. Even putting the project on hold might be a more acceptable idea for the market.
Comment by Kidlapik on Nov 16, 2016 12:27pm
It is important to understand that Mr Kaiser is an american investor and as such got hit quite hard during the rights offerrings as American investment institutes were not issued Rights the same as Canadian investors. So the potential for another Rights offerring still on the table may be too much for him.
Comment by mill44 on Nov 16, 2016 12:35pm
Add to that that he does not agree or understand a few of recent actions from management and you can see how he, as a financial advisor, cannot support the play without losing credibility.
Comment by griefman on Nov 16, 2016 12:48pm
That is a poignant point Kid, but many CDN investors were not able financially to partake as well and saw thier investment deteriorate as such. Same difference...
Comment by ekim on Nov 16, 2016 1:10pm
I wouldn't say that is the same difference. I think Kid points out the JK - US investor thing. I have made the mistake over the years thinking JK is Canadian and based in Canada as a lot of his work and research is very, very focused on Canadian commodity companies and I would assume he has made a lot of subscriber money off of Canadian investors over the years as well. Either way, I think ...more

Ekim, whenever people talk about rights offering, they say that it is the fairest form of fundrising because it itreats everyone the same way. You want to participate, you get the discounted share, you don't or you cannot, you get to sell your rights and get compensated for the drop in price or percentage, whichever way you look at. PGD's offering has not been fair yet because the rights ...more

Sometimes not being able to make a choice for whatever reason is easier than trying to make a decision when you have the availability to do so, as many people like decisions to be made for them, takes away the risk of making the wrong one.
Comment by ekim on Nov 16, 2016 2:59pm
A private placement that you are not allowed to participate to raise the exact same $$'s as compared to the Discounted rights offering...is the same dilution rate. The difference is that the existing shareholders can participate in the Discounted one and are left out to dry on the private one. If you don't think the discounted one is fair....it is absolutely fairer then the private one.  ...more

Fair to everyone, that's the deal. I never said that it wasn't a good deal for people who had the intention to participate, although the dumping from the ones who did not affected everyone. A discounted rights offering you cannot or won't participate with rights that are worthless or a PP that is required to be at a premium? I bet we would not be at 18c now if the first time the funds ...more
