Rights Offering

If we look at the past offerings it's pretty easy to make an assessment of what would play out about 5 seconds after they announce another one, which is why I can't really see them doing it again, at least not for a discounted price. Longs are exhausted or frustrated. I'm pretty sure that most here would do exactly the same thing I would if they announced another discount offering; Dump and then pick them up on the market when they drop to match the discount price. If they announce another discounted rights offering then it should be absolutely clear to everyone where this is headed. Here's hoping for a NR by EOY, I think this has been one of the longest windows without an update, I hope it's because something is brewing, or maybe they're waiting to see if Mr T will impose tariffs on Canadian diamonds in his revamped NAFTA!

I think we established that they don't care about the price, so fear of the SP dropping would not stop them from another rights offering. But by now they must have realized that participation would not be high, so if they still decide to do one it's not because they want to be fair to everyone, that's for sure. The problem is that there is absolutely nothing stopping them if they want ...more

if they decide to a rights offering again it has to be discounted, and now rules have changed, there is more disclosure rules.  The only reason NOT to do one is is just about 100% guarnteed not to fill it, they did not get 100% last time, Eric did not buy up any of the leavings, Robert picked up a few if memory serves, there is no way they would get what they need, 30 million to complete FS?? ...more
