radio silence

Yes, it is frustrating that management has not been keeping its “better half” in the loop for what feels like eons. So far PGD has not broken any land-speed records. Name one explorer in these markets who has. Patience & endurance are key.

The simple fact of the matter is that certain things that are currently in the works CANNOT be discussed in public – yet. Yes this is pure conjecture on my part, as are the following points. Remember, I’m not the enemy here so there is no need for youz to keep shooting at this messenger that is simply attempting to decipher the company’s stealth mode strategy.

Most Longs that are still standing here are speculating that good things are coming our way. For those that no longer believe there is an awesome pot at the end of this never-ending rainbow, well, there is only 1 of 1 thing left for you to do & that is to SELL (like sideline art critic cudjo did). I personally think that that would be a big mistake at this eleventh & a half hour but that is only my personal opinion. Everyone has to decide what’s best for them. If you are down 80%, what is the point of selling now (unless you need the loss to offset huge gains elsewhere)?

Even though we’ve had to endure radio silence, maybe it’s for our own good, and for the good of the project. Maybe this radio silence is a requirement on this project development battlefield. Confidential discussions and decisions require radio silence. They just do. Blabbing to someone like ekim or oiltar or robybob serves no strategic purpose in this game of chess.

If you disagree with my thoughts, well, first of all I don’t care, but more importantly you are doing yourself a disservice by losing your focus. Focus on what is happening behind the scenes (and maybe behind enemy lines?). The truth we all seek is hidden in the shadows, well guarded, but this truth is very well and very fit indeed. The FACTS will provide a clean bill of health regardless of how loudly Nurse Ratched chimes doom and gloom, hoping to buy herself a new Kmart purse.

Outer appearances can be deceiving for explorer/developers.  As crazy as this might seem, sometimes this is by design. However, the time for show and glitz is now approaching.

We must all get used to the fact that, in the resource sector, we now live in a minefield jungle full of challenging creatures. Most occasional  travellers are skittish at best. Many become paranoid, borderline delusional (will save cudjo the time: I’m parallel parked in a latter stall).

Let’s look behind the curtain once again for some more of those elusive breadcrumbs, and let’s try to meet fear head on, together (more wishful thinking... very stupid on my part)?

Please remember this - in taxing moments of despair:   “after all, tomorrow is another day”.

"PGD planning to conduct large dia drilling and trenching"

2016-11-25
2BE-CHI1218 Amendment Application
Executive Summary in English

Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. is planning to conduct large diameter drilling and trenching at its CH-6 Kimberlite in the winter of 2017. This work will be based out of the CH-6 Camp. The CH-6 camp is 250 meters northeast of the CH-6 kimberlite where the work will be taking place. Large diameter drilling and trenching activities are activities already authorized under land use permit 2BE-CHI1218 and INAC permit N2012C0024.

The CH-6 Camp is 22 kilometers (straight-line distance) west of Sunrise Camp where an ice airstrip (herc-strip) is authorized and 21 kilometers west of the largest authorized drill water source. The intermediate terrain between CH-6 and Sunrise Lake is quite severe with large block field boulders and for safety reasons Peregrine would rather not utilize this area during this program if it can be avoided. Also, we have observed that this area is subject to more harsh weather which probably due in large part to proximity to the glaciers.

Peregrine does have three other authorized drill water sources permitted closer to the CH-6 Camp. These water sources are small and though there would be sufficient water in them to supply operational needs there would be considerable drawdown (potentially up to 10%). Peregrine feels that these water sources are best reserved as “emergency drill water sources” in the event of severe winter weather which is common on the Hall Peninsula Plateau (700 meters elevation). These three smaller sources will continue to be used for domestic water (camp water) for which average withdrawal is 3 cubic meters per day.

For these reasons Peregrine is requesting the following three amendments to facilitate winter exploration activities in 2017.

1) Addition of a new large water source close to the CH-6 Camp and Ch-6 Kimberlite. The lake is located 12 kilometers west of the CH-6 Camp and CH-6 Kimberlite and is better suited for operational and safety purposes. Furthermore the lake is large and it is anticipate that total water withdrawal from the lake will be insignificant to the total lake volume (less than 1/15 of 1 percent of the total lake volume).

2) Addition of a landing strip for large fixed wing aircraft (herc-strip) at the same large lake proposed for the water source. This strip would be used for mobilization and demobilization of equipment, supplies and samples. Snow clearing will be necessary and though not anticipated flooding may be necessary if ice conditions are not at seasonal norms.

3) Addition of a small landing ice strip for small aircraft (Twin Otter) at a small lake 5 kilometers from the CH-6 Camp. This airstrip will be snow groomed. It will be used to transport personnel to and from the Iqaluit to the worksite.

At this stage for many, it comes down to an economic decision, pure and simple. Can you afford to loose a pot load of money, or will the chance of making a good return going to change your life? For some the risk has become to high, for others, the risk is the reward...JMHO.
