The left radical antimining leader Walter Aduviri was elected as Regional President for Puno.

In 2006, Aduviri blocked the Santa Ana Silver Project of the Canadian Junior Bear Creek by a massive movilization of peasants.

I am sure that Walter Aduviri and the Congressman Marco Arana will use the Macusani Uranium/lithium Project as their new Flag- Ship antimining agenda. Lets see what news are coming before year end.

thx, Digingdeep, you still haven't specified if you are a shorter or a left radical yourself? anyhow, congress will decide; Bear Creek didn't manage Santa Ana well back in the days and they did a much better job at Corani where they just recently received their process plant construction permit and everything goes according to plan.

and besides, it's governor. Are you also sure the election is already held? And hasn't he come out "pro-mining" lately? I think it's better we get a honest picture from somewhere, maybe "JuanPeru" could have a look at this as he has been informative and apparently "boots on the ground in Peru" all the time.

Walter Aduviri has been elected regional president of Puno with almost 50% of the votes, but like all the elected authorities on October 7, he will take office on January 1, 2019. He was in hiding until a few hours since he was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Aymarazo (2011), a quite violent protest caused by the concession of Santa Ana to Bear Creek, which as long as I know violated the

Let's also not forget Santa Ana is situated in Aduviri's home region whereas the approved Corani (as well as Macusani and Falchani) are in the north of the Puno region. Is not looking good. How low can PLU go ? Is it the uncertainty of the new elected governor in Puno ?

Sellers are at it again. Apparently they are selling the private placement at 0.95 but the reality is they are still "selling the rumour" of Aduviri. I think it's still a rumour because many investors aren't talking about it yet, see https://ceo.ca/PLU. I think the bottom will be when Aduviri's election is fully digested by the market.

Today they must be long term investors like many of us that see this pp as very good news (and indeed it is) and it's possible they don't know about Aduviri's election. But personally I think some big fishes are accumulating PLU in a steady way, maybe some of the companies seeking a potential buyout.

everything is plunging today like Nasdaq, URA, even blue chips here and there (except gold stocks), so just unfortunate timing to announce a PP but now they're well funded to get further drilling and necessary NPV's and metallurgical work.
