111 petitories were presented for PLU's 9 concessions

Among the hundres of mining petitories Ingemmet received this monday, only 111 have overlappings with the 9 PLU concessions that were retired of the Mining Registry that same day. You can see the details in the following link (don't know how to include images here):

https://cdn.ceo.ca/1fq5vlf-tabla_petitorios.png

Names of natural persons are in lower case ("Petitioner" column) and the names of companies are in upper case.

Looking at this list there are two things that captured my attention:

1. Bear Creek is bidding for lithium

Bear Creek, through its local subsidiary BEAR CREEK MINING S.A.C., has petitioned the area corresponding to Ocacasa 4 and the sorrounding concessions that were also retired from the registry: Huarituna II, Huarituna 3, Chachaconiza and Chachaconiza II.

Bear Creek's 7 petitories are the green lines in the table.

In the following image you can see the 9 concessions retired from the registry (ocacasa 4 is highlighted in orange)...

... and in the following image you can see the areas claimed by Bear Creek:

https://cdn.ceo.ca/1fq6118-petitorios%20bear%20creek.png

2. Macusani Yellowcake has not (directly) participated

As you can see in the table, nor Macusani Yellowcake nor Global Gold (PLU's local subsidiaries) directly presented any petitory on November 2nd. However, apparently Macusani Yellowcake has participated through its workers and those of its related company Minera Colibri (it seems both companies shares some of their staff). And the group (yellow lines in the table) would have been directed by nothing less that Macusani Yellowcake's Head of Human Resources (holding the same position at Minera Colibri), Mr. Guillermo Vergara Baca:

https://pe.linkedin.com/in/guillermojesus?trk=people-guest_people_search-card

The other people in Macusani's staff that participated were Jose Antonio Salazar Rivera (Minera Colibri's Head of Logistics), Golbert Ernesto Vargas Flores, Magno Agilio Flores Gonzales, Julian Nino Cansaya, Michael Anthony Plasencia Panduro and Lizeth Katherin Canario Alberco. I have been able to document the work relation between Golbert, Magno and Julian with Minera Colibri. About Michael and Lizeth I have not been able to clearly stablish the relation, but if you look at how all of them have named their petitories, you'll realize the same pattern in all cases: First name + number. For example, Golbert II, Lizeth I, Jose I, and so on.

Other reason to stablish the connection between these 7 people (and the first reason why I connected them), is the fact that, over the entire table, they are the only 7 people that doesn't have any antecedent in the petition of mining claims or related activities.

Combining the areas petitioned by the 7 mentioned people, you get almost exactly the areas corresponding to the 9 concessions, as shown in the following image:

https://cdn.ceo.ca/1fq611n-petitorios%20macusani%20yellowcake.png

The relation between the 9 concessions and the 18 petitories (apparently filed "in behalf of" Macusani) is as follows:

Ocacasa 4: covered by Golbert I, Golbert II, and also by Julian III and Julian IV.
Huarituna II: covered by Julian I, Julian II
Huarituna 3: covered by Golbert III, Golbert IV
Chachaconiza: covered by Michael I
Chachaconiza II: covered by Magno I, Magno II
Chapi III, Chapi "U": covered by Guillermo I, Guillermo II, Jose I
Samilio I: covered by Michael II, Lizeth II
Lincoln XXXII: covered by Jose II, Lizeth I

Note that the only overlapping petitories among the 18 correspond, oh surpise, to ocacasa 4. Apparently they claimed it twice to add an extra layer of security.

In case you want to dig into more details, the following are direct links to the map of PLU's concessions and the summaries the petitories/concessions mentioned:

Juan, once again very thorough analysis. For a dummy like me once again please say it slower for me. Can this be taken as a good sign?

If you assume, like me, that PLU is behind this "coordinated move" by Macusani's staff, then this is good news. Opens a possibility to fully recover the 9 concessions (including ocacasa 4) in the short term. Let me explain in more detail. Given that the 111 petitories are simultaneous, according to the laws there will be an auction to decide who continues for the application process ...more

One more detail about this story. Right after Ingemmet published the 9 PLU concessions as to be retired from the Mining Registry, on October 1st, Mr. Guillermo Guevara hurried to Ingemmet's to present two petitories that combined cover the whole area of Ocacasa 4: Guillermo 4: https://cdn.ceo.ca/1fr95cl-guillermo%204.pdf Guilermo 4A: https://cdn.ceo.ca/1fr95dd-guillermo%204A.pdf ...more

Juan, these earlier applications on October 1 will be denied. There must be at least 1 hectare per 100 hectares free at the time when the application is submitted for the title process continue. There was not one hectare free on October 1st in the area that Guillermo concessions cover. If PLU's strategy is to delay the title process it will be an expensive one. The company has no reveune with ...more

Remember PLU is a junior company. Most junior companies don't generate revenue, so they fund their operations selling shares to investors who like the potential of their projects. In the specific case of PLU, the amount of money you're mentioning is not that big when compared with the potentail of its lithium and uranium projects. In fact, that amount is fairly small when compared to the ...more

JuanPeru. The petitorios Guillermo 4A applied for October 1 and IMAGINA on October 12th (mining code: 050014220) will be denied because not one hectare was free on their application dates. You can easily call the Public Registry at Ministry of Mines and ask lawyers at the Registry if I am right. They said to us that if a petitorio covers an area that is completely covered by an expired concession ...more

John, thank you for sharing, but we already know their opinion. Look at the jurisprudence (similar cases) mentioned in my previous posts. Ingemmet will soon issue Resolutions declaring the cancellation of Guillermo 4 and Guillermo 4A, which will be conffirmed by Minem (Mining Council) based on the legal arguments you have already detailed. That administrative process will take approximately ...more

The Guillermo petitorios are not concessions and this process will not take a year. The application will be denied and the areas applied for on Nov 2 will go to auction. Call them and ask. They know the law and the company can spend all they want on legal fees. Doesn't matter in the long run.
