Financing Was Obvious and Inevitable

Wow, you guys have hyped yourselves into a conspiracy theory that Shareholders and the Boston Group was massively shorting the stock. That didn't happen. Acumen was to announce some preliminary clinical result on a Monday before market. It looks like Promis knew that and also issued a press release on the same morning with a positive spin as to how they compared with Acumen. The trading activity was wild. You do remember that on two prior occasions PMN surged way higher and then lost momentum. I assume the same group jumped on this once again and sold the stock short. If any insiders sold the stock short they would be in big trouble. Many of these insiders have mandatory reporting requirements for any sales or purchases. They were also aware that financing was right around the corner and that there was a blackout on selling. There is also a 60 wash sale rule that applies to selling a stock and buying back the same stock within 60 days. Why would officers, directors or billionaire shareholders risk everything to do such a risky thing. The other thing to consider is that earnings were announced a couple weeks later which also prevented any insider trading. The earnings/balance sheet showed clearly that financing was needed and quickly. You guys are crazy and you are manufacturing a conspiracy theory that is not substantiated by any facts.

Q: "Why would officers, directors or billionaire shareholders risk everything to do such a risky thing." A: To slash the price, and there's nothing risky about it unless there was a naked short, since the CEO procrastinated for months.  So you think the market generated a 14 million share day on news that existing shareholders failed to get excited about because it was so long ...more

Sorry, just a bunch of gobblegook from you. No facts to support your irresponsible accusations.

We get it Bball, you're very wealthy and could easily afford to load up at the new low, congratulations.  Your interests align with the Boston group's so the financing delay, lack of promotion under the replaced CEO and instantlly sold-out rallies are all good for you, therefore any talk about any of it being planned by those who benefitted most is gobblegook.  And what is the ...more

Well Bball you miss the obvious point so you tell us how you trade 13 million shares with a float of 8.25 million without an illegal short campaign.

What is there to explain? The market, in a fit of frenzy. G1945V

This might clear up some misconceptions. I don't like it any better than most of you and am still thinking some form of machiavellian scheme took place, but it does seem to shed a little more light on what may have transpired. The missed milestones, erroneuos coorporate overviews/updates and silent treatment before/after FDA approval WERE REAL, not conspiracy theories. https://www ...more

"Day traders will often buy and sell shares of the same company multiple times during the same trading session, thus increasing the trading volume so that it exceeds the number of outstanding shares." That explains it—the market in a fit of frenzy. G1945V

How did the word conspiracy get into this thread? I haven't read anyone here alleging that insiders coordinated illegal actions, or even that such would be needed to achieve the result seen. All it would take to knock the price down from $6 to $2 is a rumour that $2 was the target price of the only interested investor group, and then let the market do what it does.   The source of ...more

The question still remains how do you trade 13 million shares without naked shorting. When you can give a reasonable response to this then we will know there was no collusion.
Comment by G1945V on Sep 05, 2023 1:25pm
If you are so adamant about your specific concern, write to the IR Department of the company and pose the question to them directly. Please let us all know what transpires. Any naked shorting of this magnitude should be easily uncovered and prosecuted if that is the case. "Per SEC regulations, participants in "naked short-selling" activities can be charged with a crime." ...more

Shorting is a banking issue not a company issue, at least from the standpoint of forensics which is what the SEC supposedly can do on complaint. So if it happened then there would certainly be no company related correpondence record as no one is that stupid, and since the short would be profitable for the bank creating it there would be no suspect payment to find. It would simply inside ...more

Mole, name one brokerage that allows naked shorting??
Comment by M101 on Sep 05, 2023 10:14pm
Yeah Mole, name one brokerage that allows this illegal activity, send Bball a link to their ad, becuse if it's not advertised then it's not happening, that's just math.    Face it Bball, everyone in the business is going to say it never happens, or when it does https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2023-107 it's small and isloated, a few bad apples, just like every ...more
