ask -500 shares- that means there is a whole lot of shares up for sale their. Painting the ticket it is called and it's not allowed in exchanges with any king of controls, bit of course it is statis quo in Canada.
Now, with a bid of 81 and ask of 83. Just for kicks, I put in an order to sell at 82 cents. Needless to say my order was snapped up as soon as I put it in, when the bid ask was 81-83.
