Takeover low ball

$100 in-situ not exactly top of market but would suspect Osisko trumped any other interest here. Overall and OK deal but would have thought they would have been able to extract a higher price for one of the few high-grade assets on the market.

Noticing a distinct Cdn focussed theme in the most recent takeovers - question is who's the next domino to fall in Canada?

Overall though a far cry from where we have been and a significant change in focus for Osisko.

Congrats to all

As a QMI and Osisko shareholder this is a steal for Osisko. I can't believe the low ball offer, I believe Queenston can eventually obtain this price on there own in time with current developments, another 20 percent is needed, 7.00 has to be the new price. GL.   Fastlane

Where is the focus?? I agree with you Mindfinder1. One wonders now if OSK will put Hammond Reef on the back burner!!!!!!!

It's already there (Hammond on back burner) - they have been having enough trouble with Malarctic - this provides better quality ounces at lower risk than Hammond - or a poker chip that can be traded for something else at a very reasonable price - which got more reasonable with the market crunch today.

Bit disappointed with the resulting qmi share price. Should have been able to do better for the stockholders. Queenston board and management has had a very long run all paid for by the shareholders and now is/was the payback time and it kinda sucks! Having said that, been trying to decide to whether to hold osk or bail now, and looks to me like there is another 30%gain yet to be realized on osk ...more

If OSK wants more gold they should buy THR's property in Kirkland in which the gold fold from QMI runs into at economic grade......take out the little sister too......I need a steak dinner. LE
