Can the Fed simply muster a further 20 trillion on the next crisis the next budget shortfall the next budgeting black swan conflict etc ??

no . The Ponzi of having fed inventory debt issued by out of control treasury is well advanced and if markets are a discounting mechanism to anything - the smart players will see the inevitable issues and begin to make adjustments .

if QE has a limit - we will find it , and the biggest crash of our lifetime will be at hand
