Not a Win for Edward, it's a Win for Shareholders!!!!

Finally some common sense and a little bit of TRUST (pun not intended) put back into our capital market system and justice system.      

All toooooo often  CEOs and Board Directors of Companies across the market do what they want, and all tooooo often what they do is NOT in the interest of Shareholders but they use the ruse and say "it's in the best interest of the company" to justify their actions.

Finally!!!!   Shareholders given the RESPECT and CONTROL that they should have always have.  


All just my opinion/view/thinking.

I agree 100 %. My "edward wins" postings were to point out that he holds 97% of the voting trust shares so the judge ultimately had no choice.

RD78 - Using truisms is not analysis and it doesn't demonstrate understanding. Neither does your "Lol". If it is correct that Edward has control of the Trust and thus the voting shares and ultimately, at the next shareholders' meeting, could vote in his own board, the more immediate issue was could Edward replace the board without a shareholders' meeting. You need to go back to Google law school and learn how a corporation works, then maybe you could advise the Judge next time or maybe the Rogers family should have hired you ???....Lol

RD78/ Jerk:  I did not opine on which side would prevail. I did not have the Articles, Bylaws or Trust.  I only stated that your analysis did not involve thought. You still do not get it. The second key issue was could a BoD be replaced without a shareholder meeting. Application of the law requires reference to Articles, By-laws and the relevant corporations legislation. You are a moron and still can not understand when someone has 97% of the voting shares the law will work in their favor. The highest BC count has made that clear and the Rogers family is not appealing. Case Closed !!
