Aurelian Update

Strange day!!
Today we have a positive update from Aurelian, which should have created some interest in EUGS and REV. Instead we get a 30% decline in EUGS on low volume and no REV trades.

First Bieszczady well encounters active oil and gas system in zone above primary targets.

The Bieszczady partner group is pleased to announce that the Niebieszczany-1 well, which spudded on 14th October 2010, and is the first well of a three well programme in its Bieszczady block in the Carpathian Thrust Fold Belt, has set 9 ? inch casing at 3,220 metres and is currently drilling at 3,700 metres. The section drilled from 1000 metres to the current depth consists of interbedded fractured tight sands and shales and excellent oil and gas shows have been encountered throughout which appear to be associated with fracture zones. Wireline logs were taken over the interval of 1,000 metres to 3,226 metres prior to setting casing and a total of 46 metres of core has been cut in three separate zones. In addition, two short term drill tests have recovered oil and gas.

The active oil and gas system is over pressured and the current mud weight required to balance formation pressures is 1.85 sg (Specific Gravity) compared to normal sg of 1.1. The combination of fractured formations and an active over pressured oil and gas system has however resulted in slower than predicted progress. Cost exposure to the slow progress of this well is mitigated due to the fixed cost nature of the contractor’s turnkey contract.

Whilst the section drilled to date is encouraging and contains zones of interest, the primary reservoir targets which are expected between 4,000 metres and 4,800 metres are yet to be reached. The well is targeting up to 100 million barrels (gross) of oil and there are several other similar sized prospects on trend which would be derisked in the event of a successful outcome of this first well.

Acquisition of a further 300 km of 2D seismic to the north and east of the existing 2D area is now complete, giving coverage of 40% of the block. A second well is planned to commence in late 2011/early 2012 after interpretation of this seismic and integration of the current well data.

Interests in Bieszczady are Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (51%) (Operator), Energia Bieszczady Sp. z o.o. (25%) (a 100% subsidiary of Aurelian Oil and Gas Poland Sp. z o.o.) and Eurogas Polska Sp. z o.o. (24%).

"Derisked"?Aw, come on now! That "derisked", are they back to drilling in the Delhi or somewhere barren in Poland?"thereare several other similar sized prospects on trend which would bederisked in the event of a successful outcome of this first well."Now, that is just too funny!  "Derisked"!What a hoot! That is definitely the Salt Lake City portion of ...more

This really is an incredible news release from Aurelian. Fractured tight sand and shale, which is usually associated with listric faulting, along with high pressures and good shows is very positive. Obviously, with the kind of pressure they are dealing with it is going to be slow going. As far as REV or EUGS goes, there is no credibility with either company so I wouldn't expect much. Listric faulting is good for an oil/gas show?a la wikipedia, the colossus of all geologic knowledge..."Listric faultA listric fault is a type of normal fault in which fault plane iscurved. The dip of the fault plane becomes shallower with increaseddepth." Yep, just as I thought...not a hell of a lot there to hang one's petroleum geologist's hat upon, is there? Everywhere in the ...more

What's that old saying "It's better to be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt". I guess I shouldn't have spoke! As you can tell, I know nothing about the oil and gas business. What did impress me is that Aurelian puts out an operational report on a regular basis, allowing their investors to make informed decisions. What a novel concept...Thanks for your ...more

1.8 sg mud does not a "high pressure" hole make, dears.Since the specific gravity of plain old drilling mud, with a thixotropic Bentonite slurry mix is 2.4 sg, my guess is that "heavy" mud they have to use to hold all that 'high pressure' oil and gas down in the hole...isn't so "heavy" after all.A 9" hole (.1143m diam) 3700m deep holds about 151 cubic ...more

Nothing personal. Just trying to set the record straight, is all.As we all know, be it minerals, annual meetings or petroleum 'plays', these people do not exhibit a mighty effort at keeping the stock holders meaningfully informed."Wow" and "Excitement" develop stock sales. Daily Rig and Drill Reports such as: "Well it was just another normal day on the rig with ...more

Yes, Jenny, listric faulting is very good, any faults or fractures in a formation are excellent as it helps communication with the zone. But I'm not telling you anything you don' t already know, because all you have to do is look it up at wikipedia....right. That sure explained it....sure.

Well actually, I got the double whammy on you there, stocky!I got it from Wiki, while staying at a Holiday Inn Express...trump that will ya?I would think shattering, shearing, brecciation, porosity and just possibly some of that stockworking thrown in for effect, might be a heck of a lot more important than "Listric Faulting".Just think, if a high angle fault didn't go all ' ...more

Of course, we could go into drag folds and the 'traps' as can be caused by the movement of faults..but what the heck, let's us just leave it with you being the definite Crown wearer of the King of all things technical and important to REV!Vote? Come on, a show of hands...sigh....Yep, you get the crown, stocky boy!

You just proved to me that once again you have no clue as to what you are talking about. You know it, and I know it. You are out of your element. Maybe you should stick to mining. On the other hand, I think you just love to argue...about just about anything with anyone. Insinuating that I somehow am supporting REV or Aurelian by commenting on the facts is a stretch even for a mind such as yours ...more

wouldn't it be nice not to view Curt as nit always putting Lipstick on a Pig ... but at 6 cents what else could it be?I can't believe the REV SP will go up based upon EUGS shares. WHY ? Because any funds from the shares are either pledged for loans or will be sold and nothing of shareholder value will be realized, as with all the other shares previously sold. Too many people saying this ...more

" all shares are pledged for loans or will be sold"   That of course is not based on fact or evidence but on your pessimistic view.  If you are correct remains to be seen.  I can't say you are wrong.  I can only wait and see. It is based on PUBLISHED FACT !!!! Ok Genius they had about 10 to 12 million and sold all but a little that they pledged on a loan ...more

Dogone...Wolfgang will get it done. I am afraid we will just have to agree to disagree when it comes to Wolfy. Go over the news releases over the past few years. What has he got done besides diluting the shares of EUGS by well over 100 million shares. Of course what he really achieved is something I said he would do from the first time REV gave him an extension on the $3 million he owed, that is ...more

Looks like RW set up a company to consult to REV IMO .. get a 54K salary and finders fee should the EUGS turn into a nice bank acct.I really believe this is underhanded and does not work on behalf the shareholders .. as the past shows .. most on the BGS board are now concerned as they read the REV BB

Well Curt ... Welington has shelled out $60,000 for what? Better question is why ??I can't say what for and you can't either. ..WHY? Sure does not appear that management has their interest in REV based upon selling EUGS shares that were in the treasury .. OK let's hear Wolgang is a bad guy. Fact is he saved REV, only to see it squandered, and nothing to show for it to the shareholders. ...more

Wellington could be anybody.. its called Jitney selling, where one house buys using another's name and number.Wellington can also be a real order by a house "friendly" with management...sort of a holding account until needed in the future.I watch the stock very closely and there is a pattern here.. sort of what we used to call w..h  tr.....g.It happened at .08 cents as well and ...more

Why hello there, stocktalk2! Yes, your comprehension is doing quite well. I do love a good argument and it is very evident from your post that you abhor an argument with an informed opponent."But of course, you knew before REV even drilled a well there what the outcome was going to be." (In reference to the Delhi Oil Field)I think that if you go back and read my posts from the get go on ...more
