No mention of migrations

I speak Spanish having lived and worked in Latin America for 26 years.

After Ebenizer3 published the link to the article that spoke about ending migrations for oil companies ;Super-Cycle wrote IIF this is a legit story - it should be getting more news coverage from large, established sources.” I agree with this and have gone through Pemex, CNG , Mexican news souces and ALMO’s daily press conferences and there is NO mention of ending migrations that I could find.

The main topic often mentioned that concerns us is the ending of the auctions for new contracts. We had been told that Pemex wanted to have the ability to choose their partners that they would be working with and we in ROE felt that if such a thing happened it would be to our advantage as we felt we had an inside track with Pemex.

The ending of auctions was approved in the extra- ordinary meeting # 32 of CNG.

Interesting the longest comment was about what Mexico would lose by cancelling the auctions.

The extra- ordinary meeting # 33 of CNG was an updating of several contracts including the three properties of ROE in the state of Chiapas; Mundo Nuevo, Topen and Malva. They were considered as a package along with two other contracts of other companies. The technical advisor of the CNG in charge of this area presented to the seven commissioners what the companies were planning now that they had a chance to study their properties in greater detail. It included things like how much they would invest, how much did they expect to produce and when would this happen. There were no questions nor comments from the commission. It was approved unanimously by the raising of six right hands and one verbal assent.

This meeting had nothing to do with migrations.

I picked up a few more shares on Friday.

they actually do talk about the migration of 7 terrestial blocks in the last part of this session in the video of the cnh session. it starts at about the 1hr 15min. area near the end. no a great translation....but!!! you can translate it in written captions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFh0zdNpi_g

Actutally ferret_ca the word they are talking about in the last theme of #32 session is "licitacion" which is translated in english as "to bid" as in an auction or "to tender" as in a business contract. This auction that has been postponed twice and is now permanly cancelled always included some areas in the gulf of Mexico and seven areas inland. IMHO will

the translation from that video , auto spanish to english in the captions, definitely says migration at the begining, it could be a mis translation as it iisn't the best but thats what comes up. intersesting also that there hasn't been a peep out of our friend boots for a while, all the talk of the imminent migration a while back changed to in a few months by a couple of of posters (not ...more

You were correct ferret_ca. It does mention migration near the beginning and also at the end when the lawyer who responded to the president of the commission who asked what is the legal standing of the commission in regards to the cancellation of the auction mentioned the same idea that by not holding the auction the companies would not have the rights to partner with Pemex and not be able to ...more

one thing that is clear from all of this , is the fact that amlo is bent on not having anymore foreign oil companies having any part of liscenced contracts in mexico, regardless of the consequences.
