Next Two Quarters

These new guys sound very motivated, competent, and focused with a plan and under the guidance of Orbimed as majority shareholder. And it sounds like an army has moved in to whip this puppy into shape. The financials are much improved with EBITDA positive growth in sight. They are budgeted to achieve their strategic plan this year with the limited cash on hand. They are making the tough choices and their plan is comprehensive from manufacturing, to personnel, to new geographies, to new products, to marketing. This and the next quarter should benefit from a number of factors as it all comes together. The stock has shown a dramatic jump since the beginning of the year and insiders were buying at the end of the quarter about to be reported as they also said in a presentation they look for an even better 2013. Monday is their first chance to show the market what 2013 has in store. With the new team having more time to get things done, and the new U.S. distributors, and the CE Mark for the D-Dimer test the next two quarters should be good ones.

I didn't like those Q1 results. Essentially no growth outside of a chance one-time hit due to a severe flu season. No growth.

Yes it was disappointing to not see the Chinese sales contribute more. Although it is important to know that there is a demand for the flu tests. I think, taking into consideration Purvin's comments we will not have a very exciting Q2, perhaps an actual decrease in revenue from Q1. Granted, however, most of the sales channels are being restructured this year. It is likely that the new ...more
