From what I understand, Bloomera's licensing was already under way when RQB picked them up. Therefore, bringing in the orbital gardens would have caused an amendment to the license and possibly caused a further delay. I'm sure the gardens will go in as soon as the license is granted.

Here's what I've heard. A license extension speeds up the approval process. Otherwise, you are in the general line up for a license. So a license extension makes total sense for a new entry into the space. A license to produce is essentially a cultivation license. As far as how long it takes? Back in into Health Canada's space. Who knows?
