rqb: my 1 month retrospective
when i start to follow a company i like to do a retrospective after a month. i've been following this company on and off for about a month now. this is one of the strangest experiences i've had yet during my years of investing.
the company is intriguing. it's in a sector with lots of potential. the management seems better than what i've seen for other companies. the company's future plans are coherent. big revenue may be coming soon.
yet the share price action is not what i expect for such a company. it has gone from the low .40's to .235 so far today! i can't even begin to guess where the bottom will be.
but i think the strangest thing i've seen so far is the community around this company. there's so little discussion about it on other sites like twitter or reddit. it's mainly done here. i was surprised to be hit with numerous insults when i came here to ask some questions about this company and its share price.
since then i've seen a major bull turn major bear within something like a single day, and then claim to give up and sell not long after. now this former bull seems to get hit with insults too, but is starting to exhibit bullish optimism again!
there are also contributors who brag about buying at these low prices, or that say we should visit the edmonton building, yet they become super defensive when asked simple questions about the very same subjects they themselves brought up!
there is also lots of unsubstantiated pseudo conspiracy theory chatter about the influences of shorters and other traders on the share price, but i've seen that with other companies too.
after a month, i really don't know what to think about this situation. if i had to summarize my retrospective with one word that word would be: confusion.
