Political Risk

I think this is one excellent high potential explorer. IMO the biggest risk in holding this stock is the politcal risk. Elections will be starting soon and will last till the end of the year. The vote is being split among several parties and likely to be a runoff in Dec. That will pit the conservative vs the incumbent liberal. The liberal wants to increase the royality tax on the miners. I had a position in another company in Chile several months ago and it got smacked hard when the liberal won. Went from $1.20 to 35 cents and its still 35 cents.  I'm sitting this out till the uncertainty is cleared up. GTLA!

The political uncertainty became a little clearer as the President of Argentina and his party suffered a major defeat with the loss of power in the Senate . Elections resulted in the both the left and the right gaining power. This creates a bit of a stalemate for the next few months, possibly right up until the Presidential Election in 2022, as the three parties figure out which policies they can ...more
