No insider b

No insider buying at $1.00 (at a fraction of the value of the underlying asset base). Either management has a  very sudden very pessimistic longer term outlook on energy prices, or they rightfully recognize they have run the company into a bad, place and have little confidence in themselves as Stewarts of their own capital (or maybe they are just thinking really short term as usual).

Insiders can't buy now as they are in possession of the quarterly results to be released next week so the blackout period restricts trading in their stock.

Thanks Hollyberries. Hadn't occured to me. Could you tell me how do I check the black-out period for a TSX company, and when theirs started for Q3?

My understanding of the rules is that they are defined not in terms of dates but in terms of performance.  In this case, once insiders are in possession of material information (anything that would influence a shareholder to purchase or sell shares) they must not trade until the market as a whole is in possession of that information.  As such it depends on when financial results are in ...more
