CRTC decision

CRTC defined today a new competitive environment for mobile-service providers. From my point of view, the deal with Rogers will be greatly facilitated, because competition from smaller service providers will be authorized.

From what I read, only those regional players that already have some established wireless infrastructure and/or own spectrum will be able to buy access outside the regions they operate in from the big companies with national networks. If you listen to the news, the love affair between Rogers and Shaw families goes back a long way. It seems that they wanted to merge for a long time. I wonder whether this new decision would've changed anything? It seems like a match made in heaven. It seems to be destiny.
