Backlog

There always seems to be confusion about the "backlog" of work. People appear to think that this is work that should have been completed but the company is behind in doing it. This is not the case, the backlog refers to committments by clients to have work done sometime in the future i.e. a company signs for up for four projects, one done upon signing the committment order and the other three to be done in the future as the customer needs them.

Definitions Sales Bookings measure the total value of videos ordered in the period, and Sales Backlog measures the total value of video sales from all periods to-date but not yet completed. For a video order to be included as a Sales Booking, an order must be received from a client, and a deposit paid or, in cases where the client is deemed credit-worthy, be reasonably assured ...more

This has been the biggest problem from day1 ( minus George Fleming's over inflated ego and greed). How are they suppose to ramp up growth when they can't produce the orders they have now? Like i said before, what are these people doing for their salary? I would like a detailed list of positions/ salaries for the company. It seems like they are just trying to keep the lights on at the ...more
