Listing Restrictions- Investor exposure

Decent article from CBC business news. The lack of trading volume is partially attributable to the CSE listing only due to Sunniva exposure in the US. Descheduling cannabis will immediately allow SNN to graduate to the TMX. Another reason for the low volume, besides the US federal cannabis restrictions creating risk, is the fact that Sunniva will have no cannabis for sale come legalization this summer (IMO). Most of the investors to date are retail investors with shorter sight lines, eyeing the impending revenue rush this summer. Large US institutional investors will hopefully now increase their exposure in this sector. The Canadian market has 5 unicorn (billion market cap) cannabis companies to date with a projected overall market of around 9 billion and some international medical cannabis baked in to this. At a projected  60-70 billion market by 2023, conservatively 30 additional unicorn companies or more could emerge from involvement in this market. Sunniva being one of them is the surest bet to date.... see attachment below

@Bluechip2...you mentioned that you did not think Sunniva would have any product to sell come legalization. Can you clarify pls...what about the deal to sell tonnage to Canopy....do you mean all their supply is already presold and if so. would it not be SNN branded product sold via Canopy's Craft grow program? Thanks.

The Canopy deal is in effect starting 2019... which is just after Sunniva begins growing in Canada. Legalization will take place several months sooner.

Agreed on the timeline for Canadian production, however, with the states getting their shat together on the Fed level, will we see SNN awarded the ability to transfer Cali product North for NHS patients? This is obviously something that isn’t on any agenda, but I would highly assume they go for the increased margins, if the possibility presents itself. Kinda of a question/opinion post. Sunniva is building massive facilities in BC to (in part) provide product to NHS patients. Don't see how margins could be higher if they need to ship it all the way from California. Besides, California is the bigger market... if anything, the reverse scenario would make more sense because all the talk these days is about how oversupplied the Canadian market is going to be, while many of the ...more

Hey 4Life, maybe fully read a post before dropping your wisdom with that dose of attitude eh. We all know about the BC facility and it’s focus, we are also well aware of the Cali market size. The statement was clearly angled at supplying NHS prior to B.C. production commencing. So from July to December 2018. This would mean they could sell their own bud to patients instead of writing scripts for ...more

What are you talking about. First of all, Sunniva is not going to start growing in California before "late Q3." Read the recent news release. Secondly, plants take time to grow. So product is really not going to be ready in time for legalization in Canada. Thirdly, is federal descheduling going to occur in the US within 2-3 months? Please let's not delude ...more

@URL3- good points, shouln't be a problem shipping to yourself once medical cannabis is descheduled in the US, to clear customs. I can see the opposite being the case as well, whereas the US market is much larger and may need any unsold Candian produced product to meet demand.

Agreed chip, once B.C. at 50+%, barring any restrictions or new contracts, that bud will start heading south.

@bloozguy.. attached a copy of the CSE link to the Canopy supply deal, begins 1st quarter 2019. Also a copy of the wholesale agreement, lots of conditions. This is for the Canadian facility only, I doubt federal descheduling in US would be in place for the US facility to be a back up in case the BC facility is late. Not sure of all the branding, whether it's a combination of things, you can ...more
