Listing Restrictions- Investor exposure
Decent article from CBC business news. The lack of trading volume is partially attributable to the CSE listing only due to Sunniva exposure in the US. Descheduling cannabis will immediately allow SNN to graduate to the TMX. Another reason for the low volume, besides the US federal cannabis restrictions creating risk, is the fact that Sunniva will have no cannabis for sale come legalization this summer (IMO). Most of the investors to date are retail investors with shorter sight lines, eyeing the impending revenue rush this summer. Large US institutional investors will hopefully now increase their exposure in this sector. The Canadian market has 5 unicorn (billion market cap) cannabis companies to date with a projected overall market of around 9 billion and some international medical cannabis baked in to this. At a projected 60-70 billion market by 2023, conservatively 30 additional unicorn companies or more could emerge from involvement in this market. Sunniva being one of them is the surest bet to date.... see attachment below

@Bluechip2...you mentioned that you did not think Sunniva would have any product to sell come legalization. Can you clarify pls...what about the deal to sell tonnage to Canopy....do you mean all their supply is already presold and if so. would it not be SNN branded product sold via Canopy's Craft grow program? Thanks.

The Canopy deal is in effect starting 2019... which is just after Sunniva begins growing in Canada. Legalization will take place several months sooner.

@URL3- good points, shouln't be a problem shipping to yourself once medical cannabis is descheduled in the US, to clear customs. I can see the opposite being the case as well, whereas the US market is much larger and may need any unsold Candian produced product to meet demand.

Agreed chip, once B.C. at 50+%, barring any restrictions or new contracts, that bud will start heading south.
