Anytime now

This single event, when successful, will wake up this stock which has been languishing so far:
Getting financing for the Canadian build.
From what mgmt is saying, it will be non-dilutive. No reason to not trust them.
They have been different from the rest in setting up a state of the art facility (almost ready, as promosed, and on time) in California.
They have been different than the rest in striking a deal with Canopy, even before getting anything going in Canada. Again, different from the rest.
They should also deliver on this non-dilutive financing, which again, will be different from the rest.
Logic says that since they have executed differently from the rest and are saying they will get non-dilutive financing, they will.

Languishing, but I wouldn't say the company is necessarily cheap. Don't forget effective tax rate in the US is as high as 70%. Non dillutive is good for existing shareholders, really good for insiders who have much cheaper stock. Doesn't mean it was the right move. Why not raise what you need when you go public, and own what you build, instead of being highly leveraged. Their ...more

1. You say the California facility isn't state of the art. Would you care to provide one example of a Cannabis growing facility, anywhere in the world, that is more advanced than it? 2. Of course they don't have a grow team yet. They're a couple of months away from growing. They do already have 3-4 people with relevant expertise Do you doubt that they'll be able to hire a ...more

6. They want to grow top quality product for the medicinal market. Better margins. The companies emphasis is on the medicinal market, not the recreational. Medicinal can be sold all over the world.

Great debate, I will add if I may: 1) In terms of the California facility, they are a good 3 years or more ahead of any other potential large scale/low cost producers that will enter that market. For that reason alone, they will be getting a premium price for their product for the foreseeable future. The acceleration of first propogation and harvest is huge, as it will be closely timed with ...more

There are a number of large facilites currently under construction in California, though I'm not sure how much of them are medical foccused. I too think descheduling is invetible, that is the only reason their California operation looks attractive to me. However that may still be a ways off, and smoking/vaping marijuana has poor and unpredictable bioavailability. Edibles are also no good ...more

Okay look, Alan Brochstein is basically the same as Ted Ohashi in the sense that he pumps his stock picks consistently and hard, with several meaningful differences: 1) Alan B is a lot business-minded, obviously money hungry and self-promotional; 2) his record is a lot more spotty than Ted O's and full of misses and mistakes; 3) he's got a much more zero-sum mentality, in the sense that ...more

P.s. I noticed that whenever I or somebody else tries to point out his obvious conflict of interest on Seeking Alpha, entire message threads (our comments and his replies) get deleted

@GOTMONEY- dont worry about him, hs time is almost up on this one. He is bashing hard today over there trying to get the SP below $7.00.

@GOTMONEY: I don't know who this Alan guy is on SA, but yeah, pretty obvious when one bashes a stock with vague and trite comments, he is trying to get in at cheaper prices. Does he have a following? Is he a pied piper whose brain farts are imbibed by his sheeples? LOL.

All new greenhouses are more or less the same, and older greenhouses have been retrofitted. Calling it SOTA and purpose built just sounds a bit too promotional, but that's just my opinion. Black out curtains, water recycling, environmental controls are all common place. Sunniva has said they will implement automation, to which degree I'm not sure. I'm sure the greenhouses will be great ...more

@ sunrize- think you are spot on there. Lots of concerns in the market about winners and losers now, for a tier bank to finance this build, implies they are picking Sunniva as a long term big player in this market. It would also suggest that the risk associated with investing in a cannabis company with US interests is no longer a risky proposition for a major financial institution, this would be a ...more
