I very much doubt that will happen. Exporting to countries that have yet to establish domestic supply is a short term business. Besides, cost of production in places like South America is a fraction of what it is in Canada, so if there is a viable export business they will dominate.

JMark80: Very true. Exhibit A: Khiron.  I think this whole concept of exporting to EU is far-fetched. There will be a supply glut in Canada. Growers will compete against each other and drive the prices down. Companies like Khiron will produce for peanuts and further aggravate the scenario.
