The spinoff has not happened already. Leith gave a stale spiel on that obscure interview regurgitating first mover blah, pesticide free blah blah, clean product blah blah blah. No news about the real issues at hand. For months on end. Let's toke to that Ted Oshimashibishi.

We know that Sunniva engaged Cannaccord to conduct a formal review of all available options in regards to the company's Canada assets. This takes time, and there will be no news until this process is over - most likely around the beginning of December.

@Gotmoney: I know that, but how is that preventing them from separating California assets? They know they have to separate, then they can do whatever is best for Canadian assets as it's own company and own listing. So let's see if I can make this clear: California assets/co listed as SNN/SNNVF. Canadian assets/co listed on a separate exchange. Two companies, two separate tickers.

I don't believe there is enough meat on that bone (the Canadian assets as they are now) to justify a simple split and Nasdaq/TSX listing. A split and separate listing might be viable if NHS + Ok Falls are combined with the assets of another company in a joint venture, or if another company provides a significant investment that enables the expansion of Sunniva's Canadian footprint in some ...more
