OT - a primer for snn

While not specific to snn, this is still a very informative discussion and shows how a regional vertically integrated mj co. is knocking it out of the park in the san jose area. If snn is to be successful they need to "steal" many of the same pages out of their playbook.

Nice branding, but they lack Sunniva's scale - a 95,000 sq feet facility vs Cathedral City's 495,000 sq feet.

Also the technology stuff sounds cool, but actually seems pretty trivial - anything bigger than a mom and pop-type store would/should have an erp system, and I'm sure Sunniva is going be as sophisticated as anybody when it comes to retailing just as they are with cultivation. And I wanted to add to my previous point that it's not just the fact that Sunniva's cultivation campus is 5x ...more

thanks GM, all very valid points. snn is clearly far better capitalized as they're entering Cali with a more efficient grow at a far larger scale and with very seasoned mgt who, as you say, will not be hamstrung by some of the same growing pains at caliva. Do you know of any company, anywhere in the USA, that by early next year will have a cultivation facility that is anywhere near Sunniva's in terms of its scale and level of sophistication? Seriously, do you? Because I certainly don't. Not in California, not anywhere else. Sunniva will be the first and only company with this type of asset and all of the advantages that come with it. We are ...more

Grupo flor

Trying to understand how they differ from Sunniva...and how they profit since they too have tenants...

And Grupo Flor has 1 400 000 sq ft of current space...same idea offering tenants full services... thats why I think you guys are too easy on management.
Comment by GOTMONEY on Nov 13, 2018 9:26am
Lol, are you even serious? There is no comparison... grupo flor is a collection of many small growers, growing in different locations. Having one single large giant facility makes all the difference in terms of economies of scale, automation, control etc etc. Gropo flor don't have that. They can have as much current space as they want, but it's just a bunch of disparate, separate ...more
