I can't help but wonder about the whole idea of the dabstick.  How popular are these and what percentage of consumers will choose this over an edible?  They seem to me to appeal to the marginal side of the consumer base, whereas a chocolate or e-cig type product would be more appealing to me.  Butaning up a dabstick is right up there with hot-knifing hash.
And again we are coatailing on somebody else doing the real work.  I thought Billy M sold us a dabstick technology awhile ago for big bucks for its exclusivety.  Seems like another Hendrix deal to me, just sayin'!  Whatever floats our boat?!

Geo you backwards little sad sack, take it for what it is - they are in another segment of where the growth is but they are not putting their ultimate success into it.  They're exposing themselves to an undeniable growth space.  Pay attention dinosaur. As soon as the NR went up, I knew the ancient, out of touch 'rinse-repeat' hack job by geo would come out.  So ...more

Admittedly, geo bothers me much less than he seems to bother most of the regulars on this board...but...in this case in particular, I’d say geo has a valid point; didnt we already pay billy for his dabstick? on the topic of dabbing in general, I’d have to disagree with geo; dabbing is/will be popular, and there’s no need for butane. Electrically-heated Quartz of ceramic would do the trick nicely ...more

Thanks for sharing about the dabsticks.  That will help me with my thoughts on the dabstick.  If they are popular, I am ok with it.  I have copd so smoking anything is an issue which has helped me formulate my opinion on edibles and ingestables. I am not sure how this new associate can help us other than maybe to buy us out.  I am not getting that they have much expertise in ...more

I'm impressed I guess with your ability to tolerate the stink of his BS which is piled high and deep. He's as untrustworthy and disingenuous as any purported investor I've ever seen. A total hypocrite when you see him on other boards, so his opinion literally means nothing to me though once in a blue moon, he'll burp up a rare sentiment that I do concur with and I'll tell him ...more

Many cannabis consumers love the dab stick. Convenient way to get high quickly. Less harsh than smoking flower. Their chocolate edibles are still the reason I'm invested in this company but I think the dabstick is a good complementary product
Comment by Greede on Jun 04, 2018 1:06pm
So you're still invested in this company because of the FLI products but not because of the $1m USD per month they're making through Calyx???  What about the $400K /month USD they're about to add to their books when the Nevada deal closes. FLI is great but it is certainly a longer term play. The above 2 reasons plus the 15 other projects they have on the go are the reasons I' ...more

Yes I love Calyx but I originally bought because of the FLI brand. They have awesome chocolates.  All the projects on the go actually worries me because the company doesn't have a great execution record. California is really the saving grace and what makes this company very exciting. The other states they have very poor execution in.
Comment by geodcan on Jun 04, 2018 2:37pm
I agree.  I am on board for California being done right.  Your last sentence speaks my sentiment too.  glta and dyodd

I wonder if you'll be saying they have poor execution records when they show $20million USD on the books in revenue. True, everyone bought into EAT initially based on edilbles but a smart company pivots and shifts as needed and they've done that.  They will make far more money doing what they've done rather than just a pure edibles play and for that ALL shareholders should be ...more

Yes I will still be saying that, because while $20mill in revenue is great and I fully anticipate that to happen in the next 6-12months. The bottom line is more what I care about, and the wasted money spent on projects that have not come to light is worrisome. We haven't heard an update on Colorado for some time, and the was supposed to be their flagship facility. Washington was a bust, we' ...more

Definitely, compared to its peers anything under $1 a share here is a discount in my opinion. The revenue will be really nice. I guess we will just have to wait and see how the management executes its next steps. You are a bit more hopeful than I am, but I have also been invest in this company for almost 2 years and have seen a lot of missteps. Still very confident in the future of the company and ...more

Welcome to the world of startups. There are going to be missteps in an environment where the window of opportunity is small and the regulatory landscape shifts often and dramatically. They've done more right than they have wrong and have positioned themselves to be far more impactful than many of their purely Canadian counterparts and will be bringing more revenue than these growers who ...more

At what point do you stop calling it a startup? Its been around for years. I no longer treat them like a startup. They are operating in the big markets and against some big companies. They have had a lot of financing and a lot of time to get things right. Still iffy on the Nevada deal. They had to extend the deadline, meaning they could close as originally promised. Again, this is why I say I don& ...more

The extension is a move done on purpose, nothing to do with not being able to close. Right now day traders are selling for some small cash to jump on the canadian green rush.

This guy is sounding more like a geo alter-ego, trying to shave and clean up his rambling.  I'm not hearing any legitimate concerns but rather, broad-based complaining.

Well then Greede you need to get your eyes checked because I am focused. My worry is that the company is not focused. Jeeze, if you can't get that from my posts then you need to stop thinking you are smart, cuz you are clearly a moron. This company needs to focus on Cali and establish a dominance there, no point in trying to capture everything when they clearly have trouble in the markets ...more

Good post and don't worry about condescending pryks like Greede.  Ignore works well for him.  Pretty much anything he writes is people bashing and adds nothing of value to the board.  I have encouraged him to put me on ignore because he has an unnatural draw to me and my postings, so much so that he is still ranting and dissin' despite the fact that I haven't responded ...more

LMAO ya he loves to bash people who have the slightest criticism of this company. You and I are both long on this company but have some grounded concerns. He obviously can't handle criticism very well, I'm actually starting to think he is a moron and doesn't actually know anything about business. When I spot frauds, it's very helpful for the board to point them out.  Several of us actually have spotted how disingenuous and ridiculous your posts are, so trying to ingratiate yourself to some newbies won't help your cred, which is at zero.

5 star worthy post.  my sentiments exactly.  Some of these deals are too late to the party because the competition has already executed successfully.  It is clear to me that the grounded part of management is trying to do California while dealing with the real estate side whose green expertise might be in the sampling department.  A bunch of half-baked deals, possibly by a half ...more
