Sounds good

premium products to distribute is great for calyx . Good for both parties.

Geo spliffs are joints mixed with tobacco and hardly anyone smokes them except on the east coast in Canada and in Europe. Not sure about U.S but it’s not something I’ve ever seen . Blunts have been around forever and are mainly tobacco leaf / cigars split open hollowed out and rerolled.

Cannagars are a thing also . Cannabis wrapped in cannabis leaf and usually has some extract in there as well. These hemp wrapped blunts sound pretty good .

A lot of people I know smoke blunts and a lot are looking for a tobacco free version as well. They sound quality , indoor only etc.

The more products calyx has that people want , the better . And calyx has the access to storefronts that the product makers want .

Thanks for the poteducation in regards to smoking material.  I'm old school I guess and in my day it just used to be joints, hash and some oils.  We made our joints with zigzags and pot, sometimes with a little hash or a dab of oil to perk 'em up a little.  Hash was mostly in a pipe as well as good pot and oil got hot-knifed.  Long weekends could be a nice edible like a ...more

Since you brought this up, one of the reasons that I like the idea of edibles as a product is the social aspect.  Something you sort of tease here a little is the idea of when someone would use a chocolate product socially.  The scenario that I imagined after Colorado went legal was one where dessert following a dinner party was "enhanced".  EAT was the forerunner to the ...more

I’ll say it again, NH needs to to dump or spin off the manufacturing side and concentrate on what will truly make them big profits and put them in a buyout position, distribution. Regardless of how big the edibles market is expected to be, competition is just too much for them to compete with.  Competitive pricing and government regulartion will handcuff any small time company on earning good ...more

I think NH is a special case though. Pairing manufacturing with distribution has same major competitive benefits. Firstly, they have direct knowledge of what they should be manufacturing next based what's selling well at a variety of dispensaries, and secondly, whatever new product they come out with has immediate high-priority access to hundreds of dispensaries (600 in Californias case).  ...more

I understand your point, but here’s a simple, hypothetical, but somewhat realistic example.  Your capacity constraints only allows you to only perform 2 tasks. 1. Spend $100 to manufacture a widget which sells making you a profit of $5. 2. Spend $100 on distribution of a widget that someone else manufactures, making you a profit of $50. What mix of the 2 tasks will you take on?  1 of ...more

I think your point is that they need to focus on higher margin activities. This is undeniable is such a saturated market. But this is why they have made a point to stay out of cultivation operations. I think edibles have the highest margins in the cannabis space so if you're going to diversify your operations I think this is your best bet.

Yes, and is it not Calyx and the distribution division that is driving this company and keeping it a “going concern”? Competitive pricing and government regulations will be a major factor in the amount of profit that can be made on the sale of all cannabis product.  I do agree woth you that the “edibles” will have better margins than the flower itself, but again, it will be the big ...more

The data they are collecting from the various dispensaries will most likely shape the course of their direction. They may already know these St Ides pre rolls are the hot seller, thus they decided to partner. Information will ultimately give companies the competitive advantage RB2

I'm wondering if there was a deeper strategy concerning St Ides.  The connection to Pabst could be a big deal.  David Posner seems to like to be the guy who knows people.  A good brand with good connections.      As for whether or not NH can stay competitive as a manufacturer, I agree with the previous poster, they probably can because they control the product ...more
