MOOSE RIVER GOLD MINES VISIT

On Sunday,Jan28,my bride and I drove to Moose River. It’s about 20 km. south of Elmsvale on a reasonably maintained paved road.

It looks like before the mine started,Moose River had three buildings....a house and two small structures housing the Moose River Mine museum (which ,unfortunately,is closed this time of year)

The public road runs between the Touquoy open pit and the actual processing complex.Pictures do not do the site justice from a perspective point of view. The pit is just south of the roadway and the complex is on a small rise on the north side. The tailings site is to the east of the pit.

Lots of activity with big Yellow CAT trucks crossing the public road delivering ore to the complex and tailings  back to  the storage area.

Big bold signs were evident alerting the next scheduled blasting time. We watched the pit operation for a while but as for the complex, it was understandably off limits.

Talked briefly with security  and left feeling very safe about my investment in AGB.
