exploration upside
the Aussie director Wally Bucknell is a past winner of Aussie AMEC Prospector of the Year. The reason is he made a "blind" discovery ( that is no surface expression) , a 2million ounce orebody about 150m underground . That orebody was part of a gold system that eventually produced 5million ounces of gold, originally held by the company he worked for with Ron Hawkes ( these two founded the Aussie explorer that purachsed Touquoy), Plutonic Resources, in the 1990's
A few years back I remember Wally likened Nova Scotia to parts of the West Aussie gold fields in the late 1980's to 1990's when new exploration concepts, techniques and a lot of capital proved up a lot of gold . NS has a very high level of gold occurences and now we apply new techniques, concepts and lots of capital to NS. Do not underestimate the exploration upside here, this is the first time a serious attempt has been made to unlock the NS geological gold vault
There is another (in)famous character who also had his eyes on NS a few years back, the Aussie Jewish mining entrepreneur Joe Gutnick. In fact Joe discovered the original Plutonic gold mine but sold it top Ron and Wally's company who then developed the mine
What will we find? Give it a few years to find out!. Sit back , relax and enjoy the voyage of discovery, the treasure hunt.
As an aside Plutonic eventually meged with Homestake at a 95% premium to its previous close. That is the type of premium you might see if there was a bid for AGB since they have to win over the 35% insiders.
