SILVER SUN RECEIVES RESULTS OF METALLURGICAL TEST PROGRAM ON ZACATECAS PROPERTY
Silver Sun Resource Corp. has received the metallurgy test results fromSGS de Mexico SA de CV on the mineralized stockpiles from the company'sZacatecas properties.
The purpose of this test program was to determine the amenability todifferent processes for the extraction of the gold and silver frommineralized samples taken from the company's stockpiles. The sample sentfor analysis consisted of approximately 55 kilograms of material thatwas hand selected from two mineralized stockpiles within the Salvadorproperty. The mineralization in the sample contained a mixture ofsulphide and oxidized material, with SGS reporting an average grade of170 grams per tonne silver and 0.1 g/t gold. The tests returnedrecovery values of gold at 69 per cent and silver at 47 per cent.
SGS provided further recommendations to the company for the purpose of improving the dissolution of silver:
- Run the tests with smaller particle sizes.
- Perform diagnostic leaching to know whether there is occlusion of the silver values in composites.
- Run the tests with surface modifiers that allow oxides to float.
The company's management team intends to review the results and therecommendations from SGS to determine the viability of continuing toadvance the Zacatecas properties toward production.
