Don't understand the arbitrage

I can't understand why the stock price isn't at least ten percent higher. Unless someone can explain
it I'm buying more.

"Under the terms of the Agreement, common shareholders of St Andrew will receive 0.0906 of one common share of Kirkland Lake (the "Exchange Ratio") for each St Andrew common share held. The Exchange Ratio represents the equivalent of C$0.47 per St Andrew common share, based on the closing price of Kirkland Lake on November 16, 2015."  Kirkland closed on the 16th @ $5.23 ...more

Correct  mortgages the price is based on kgi 5.23 if it drops so doesn,t sas 0.47 . If kgi share price keeps dropping , sas share holders might only end up with say  example 0.38 per share. If  kgi went to 7.00 per share sas share holders could end up equivilent to example  0.55  or 0.60  per share. It all depends on kgi share price at closing date, what sas share ...more

Technically, St. Andrew shareholders are already in the red on the share exchange scenario.......After the deal is done, Kirkland Lake is in control and St. Andrew shareholders will be at the mercy of the operational efficiencies being deployed by others than themselves which to the present point in time has been reasonable for shareholders to maintain their value positions.......Kirkland on the ...more

No way. This is great for BOTH. Bigger is better in this market. Can combine management and operations to cut costs. Institutions will be more interested.

Sas at $0.28 per share, Kirkland at 5.38 ??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?>?

Who do you think is buying all these share Bullphighter if shareholders believe  sas is worth more you would think there would be higher bids coming in
Comment by Bullphighter on Nov 24, 2015 8:41pm
Beyond ripoff, how ignorant of SAS to sellout the loyal shareholders. I did the math quick and sold at .43. Soon as I saw Kirkland dropping below $5. By January, you all might end up with 15 cents By the way, not one of my emails returned by SaS. Perhaps calling them snakes-in-the-grass didn't help my cause. I feel there was hanky panky going on. SAS shares did not move until the day or two ...more

Oh mannnn Ted, your telling me I gave a vote? Is this done "live" as in I can look our CEO in the face? Since he does not have courage to respond to my concerns ! Weazel, absolute smake. You could not have po sted it any better. Fundementals speak volumes, IF kirland is worth even 5 bucks, then SAS is worth 3-4  imho     Lack of information or corrospondence says it all ...more

Thank you for your help. In that case it would be wiser to buy Kirkland Lake while it is cheap.
Comment by SKRiderFan on Nov 24, 2015 11:48am
It dont really matter which one you buy as they are set at .09 for proof of this you will see that they sre trading in lock step. What would change the picture is if another suitor stepped up for sas. good luck all
