thanks for the pump ;) as a newbie I dont kinow but my guess is that this is a 'fake out' ( ie it would just dry up if the price actually got some steam into it at that level  ) just to force sellers to sell below that point and is probably by the same entity(s) doing the buying at .175 would this be an accurate read or even remotely in the ball park ?

Pump indeed. The truth of the matter is that even if the icebergs at 18 and 18.5 are lifted, the rise in SP will be slow, but steady. Exceptions are when news is released. Yes, I happen to agree that the current iceberg is there for the express purpose to accumulate shares. News is 8+ weeks away, so plenty of time for MMs to play the game. Isn't that a bit of a risky tactic for accumulators? The buyer that suddenly showed up on Friday might take a bite out of those shares. I'm sorely tempted to just take the million shares out, but that would be a complete violation of my risk management plan. Dear Wife...you now own 0.25% of STP....

Perhaps, perhaps not. One thing for certain is that the closer we get to the NR, the more movement we will see in the SP. So far so good. The factors that lie outside of STP's sphere of influence are positive: Oil Price CDN/USD exchange Pipeline approval I'm giddy with anticipation with regard to what the weeks ahead will bring. The last three years it's been May 9th, 14th, 9th.  So I would imagine somewhere in between there.
