ICDs

2p3 appears to be ramping up on its own an is not loosing as much steam as 2p2 which has a higher water to steam ratio...they need to reduce pressure with ESPs in my opinion

Are ESP's fairly expensive? https://www.woodgroup.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/news-tech-articles/2009-09_HighTempESP_WGESP.pdf I see Cenovus is using them at Christina Lake.

My oops I meant to say lower water to steam ratio in 2p2 in my previous post...which means they are loosing steam to the formation and should reduce pressure once the steam has pushed out a bitumen bank to block water influx....sorry for the confusion. Last I recall ESP's were 150k ish plus installation...unless your pulling tubing already for ICD installation.

First.......Eye take my hat off to Shat. .................................................................................................................... 2p2 always looked like a good prospect for ICDs. December production was around 250 bbd and had peaked at just north of 400 bbd last October. Since then SOR climbed. So no surprises there and one could see this as a well pair that could climb ...more

I graciously accept your accolades.  :) In the coming weeks/months, we are going to see some massive upswings in STP's target price by the analysts at large. If you think that the latest wave of institutional share accumulation was significant, just you wait. Soon it's going to be a feeding frenzy, and the catalyst will be the next news release issued by the company. The chum will ...more

Shat can you elaborate what  you mean by multiples ..not just Pennies I know it's a junior oil and gas but curious on how high are you thinking with commercial level output..also could you explain the bot thing I don't mean to play stupid I just don't understand the ping pong thing of institutional investors? creat

By multiples, shat is implying, that if you are patient, from the medium to long term, the stock will not only increase by pennies, but by multpiles of its current price, at it's current level. So from 30, to 90, or 1.20, etc. In terms of the "ping pong" statement, he, and others are reffering to the bots, or HFT's bumping the price between .29 - .32, constantly. Hope I helped, ...more

May I wade into this discussion?..OK here goes..lol One shouldnt put Shat or any one else on the spotlight to speculate on STP's future price .As a long time shareholder he,and I, have seen this stock show tremendous progress, led by one of the industry's most competent management teams ,methodical , honest and timely and on budget, for years, only to see it undergo a gutwrenching disaster ...more

Well put. Asking me what the share price will be in a month is like asking me if it'll be sunny in a month. STP is not a stock to day trade. Not by a long shot. With the amount of institutional investment that is on the cusp of action, my best guess on the short term SP is cloudy with a chance of meatballs. What I CAN tell you is that in the long term, MY plan will be so sell when production ...more

In regards to your request to post heavy oiler stats: MEG Energy---producing between 50,000 and 60,000 bpd--trading at close to $38.80 and the stock is on a tear up the chart the last few months. These guys are the experts in SAGD and they also make money by selling the excess power from their co-gen plant. Some days they make more money selling power than they do from oil production. STP would do ...more

Creaton, Ask away. Anything you like. I've had a woman slap me in the face in public, so suffice it to say that having been asked a question on Stockhouse does NOT make me feel uncomfortable. Shat
