Colossus Minerals Corp. (TSX: T.CSI, Stock Forum) fell 12.2% to 72 cents after the exploration company said that in connection with its previously announced overnight marketed public offering of equity securities, it has today entered into an underwriting agreement between the company and a syndicate of underwriters to sell 44 million units of the company at a price of $0.75 per unit for aggregate gross proceeds of $33 million. The net proceeds of the offering are intended to be used to fund development expenditures at the Serra Pelada gold-PGM project, located in northeastern Brazil, including the completion of the process plant, to fund operating losses up to and including production ramp-up, to fund the costs associated with increasing the capacity of its dewatering system, and for working capital and for general corporate purposes. The offering is expected to close on or about August 13, 2013.
