Still Buying.

I'm still buying, but it's harder to buy at the lower prices.  The chart is starting to look like last year, just before the jump up.

The big boys are back in and slowly buying up the shares.

Hi! May I ask fpr the reason why you are buying? because an institutional money manager increased it's stake to 15%? And why is it harder to buy at lower prices? I would be delighted if I can buy a company I am fully convinced of at a 50% discount? Please do not misunderstand, I do not want to provoce I just want to know the reasons that you personally have to buy more as I personally was ...more

Tough call on buying here. Fundamentally, things look very bad. Normally, I would be inclined to wait until the fundamentals or even technicals change. However, there is a bit of an opportunity developing here. SND will likely report in early August. If there is one thing that SND is good at it is promoting and communicating with shareholders. I think that Nolan and company will eventually "get it right", that's the main reason I'm buing.  Also, the recent drop from $3.50 to $1.63 because of a 6 month delay on the Donner stream and water problems at Colossus is an over reaction in my opinion.  Add to that, Jim Roumell, personally and through his company, buying nearly 15% of the company adds needed ...more

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think too that a (very) long term view on this and I want to believe this is an overreaction and we won't need additional capital to get to heaven (self funding) but at the moment the point that keeps me from adding is that I am not convinced that we can reach "heaven". Of course an institutional investor buying in might be a sign that they do not ...more

In his 2nd quarter 2013 presentation, Roumell Asset Management still has a target price for SND at 10,00 USD/share (their average cost per share is 3,08 USD). But the way they calculated it seems way too optimistic (10x cash flow from Donner, Colossu AND Thunderbird) plus other SND investments at cost - which are way underwater right now (shares of DON, TBD, coal ...more
