SSL paid $8 million for 24.5% of all attributable gold production, indicating the remaining 10.5% would be worth somewhere between $2 - $4 million.  Maybe towards the lower end of the range in this environment. We can see that the value of the silver production is approximately 50% in excess of gold.  So if the full gold stream was worth, say, $8 - $10 million, the silver stream is ...more

Elmo:  Nolan has said they are willing to take on a silver stream (and there is no conflict of interest with SLW)  Why would SND sell to SLW instead of SSL ?  Thanks.

Just providing a possible option to take on Donner's interest without raising capital.  Haven't crunched the numbers but it does seem like $10 million financing at today's SP would be excessively dilutive.

Elmo one thing is for sure, It's going to be interesting to see what happens over the next 30 days.

Elmo:  Please apply for a consulting job at SND and list the posters here as references :)

A consulting job?...The way things are going at SND, I'd give elmo the CEO job. Let NW concentrate on gold.

Hi Elmo! Good to read you again! This is indeed an interesting possible scenario you are showing. :-) One thing I am thinking of - given SND can get the cash for stepping in - is why GX should not take the option to pay the 49mio and get 100%. I only can see re*****tion issues. I mean I am not sure at all if they have an "option" as in the quarterly report it is said GX has the ...more

I wasn't aware that GX could purchase the stream / DON's interest for $49 million.  I think the real issue is that, even with $40 million, where is Nolan going to put that money.  No one can bring a mine in on time, and as a result, mining companies can't raise money to build their projects.  At least with the stream we'd be looking at $90 million or more over the ...more

In the quarterly of SND it is written that GX has the ability (is that referring to them having the right or just the money?) to pay Sandstorm out with that 49mio. And what to do with the money then is for the sure the million dolalr question. Buying some existing royalties on industrial metals now as prices are quite low? Regarding the write down I think they already have written down most of ...more
