is there a recording of the cc?

I did miss about 13 minutes of it.. aparently it was almost done by then!

Did nolan say they are just going to sit and wait it out until we are generating better cash flow to fund new deals?

I have a very hard time with people praising Nolan and his team. Honestly, they did no better than someone who knows nothing about the business and just picking companies to do deals with out of a hat. I don't know why they just don't admit it and say they screwed up MAJOR. They should be apologiziing to shareholders that they (the experts) have destroyed a tremendous amount of capital. They blame it on commodity weakness, capital markets etc.. When they were doing deals, It was at the beginning or in the thick of the difficult period for funding. Besides, why do they get to sit in the big chair and get paid very well by US? It is because we entrust that their expertise is going to make us money. To me its insulting to blame blame blame other factors etc, when in fact, they should come clean and say they dropped the ball numerous times. That would actually get much more of my respect. It would show that they are living in reality and know they made mistakes and they can show us how that these mistakes will not happen in the future (or much less)

According to the cc it seems they would prefer to merge with another streaming/royalty company. In this case I think that SSL would be a natural partner (deals with the same companies, common history and nearly identical business model, SSL has enough cash for new deals,...). What do you think? You can listen to the conference call here: https://sandstormmetalsandenergy.com/_resources/podcasts ...more

They sound quite frustrated. And I'd say merging would be the best solution as selling down streams and the other stuff would cause more G&A meaning more money for management and to be honest I am not happy thinking of that. And if they merge it with Sandstorm Gold I guess their shareholders will hang them. I cannot imagine why they should do this. So does anybody have the phone number ...more

SAND has just written off more than 50 mil. USD (CSI) and their share price went up... Current market cap of SND is bellow that, som maybe the market wouldn't overreact... Anyway, SAND has a lot of cash and it seems like they don't have that many opportunities to use it, since they are limited only to gold space. If they could go after base metals, energy, etc., there would probably be a ...more

I do not know if you are aware of the history of SMD but the dicided the inital company into Sandsotrm Gold and Sandstorm Metals & Energy on purpose... I think Sandstorm Gold shareholders would not be amused to see the management spending money to cover mistakes in SMD. And Sandstorm Gold going after base metals and energy after a merger... I think SMD is the best proof that this management ...more

carenthian Altius would be the best fit but they are up to their necks in absorbing the recent major acquisition. It would nor surprise me to see Altius take it over in 2 or 3 years Good thinking mat
