Duke Energy Lake Placid Solar Cost

According to available information, the Duke Energy Lake Placid solar farm in Florida has a total cost of approximately $60.6 million. This cost is expected to be recouped through the electricity generated by the solar plant, which will be reflected in residential customers’ monthly bills. Specifically, the estimated impact on residential customers’ rates is 22 cents per 1,000 kWh.

Note that this cost estimate only applies to the Lake Placid solar farm and does not represent the total cost of Duke Energy’s solar investments in Florida, which are estimated to be around $1 billion through 2022.

Well that's what is the problem with climate change , more bad weather and the panels get hit , also insurance company now charge more for insurance because roof top panel get damage .... oil is in the ground well protected ... always available in worst case scenarios

Marty.. with all due respect you conflating two separate issues...electricity production and oil production.  Oil is used in a very small fraction of the production of electricity in the US so what may be happening to solar panels is not going to have any impact on oil demand.
