Thx for posting kewl, could stop watching it. Most of us here made decisions to invest when the markets were much more positive than they are right now and hopefully we all did our DD, stay the course, this too shall pass. GLTA.

Easily one of the best interviews I've seen in years, an absolute jewel.  This is a good example of why I frequent these boards and stay ingaged with other Silvercrest investors.  The sharing of knowledge and experience can often be priceless, as was the case here.      Thank you Kewl2, much appreciated!   -Scott

Buffett said virtually the opposite about the precious metals industry and economy prospects, so there is no silver bullet to determine where to invest. 321gold.com is loaded with new pro silver articles every day, if that makes you feel good.

There never was a silver bullet.  A true investor in this sector is willing to take the associated risk and make their decision based on their own DD.  I feel it's safe to say that most of us on this board are "pro silver" or else why would we be here?  Do you know what makes me feel good eunice?  The fact that I'm up over 100% in ...more

"I feel it's safe to say that most of us on this board are "pro silver" or else why would we be here?" Good guess but what is your point, or is it that you don't want rain on the parade?
Comment by georgoub on Sep 07, 2012 5:49pm
eunice, if you're looking for a guarantee then you are in the wrong game.  My point is that even if it does rain on my parade, I'm okay with it because I was prepared to suffer the consequences.  Although I'm sure that we all appreciate your concern and your constant constant reminders that the sky could fall, it's really not needed or of any benefit or value - at least ...more

Never indicated that I wanted a guarantee, so your conclusion about my game is not correct. I hold SVL as a silver hedge for a blockbuster ag product's feedstock which is my game, and have no idea where silver will go, nor do I believe anyone else knows or it wouldn't be a commodity market. btw, the fact you are up 100% is not smart justification for your claim that you are ok if the sky ...more

I finally got caught up with other matters and had a chance to listen to the interview with Frank Guistra.  An exceptional and very down-to-earth chat, with someone of great insight and respect, whom I've known since he joined Yorkton.   I've bookmarked the interview so that in future, a good listen from time to time will keep things in perspective.   Thanks Kewl!
