I went to the meeting. It was very short. Voted for the option on the new Silvercrest and passed 90% for.  Saw Mr Fier and asked about the exploration and he said that he believes that they will find another mine in that area. He is still optimistic and the same with Mr Drever. There were some Frist Majestic people there. What I walked away with was that they are still optimistic of other ...more

Mr. Silvercreastman:  Takes an average of ~10 years from discovery to production. New Silvercrest will be fairly meanless, IMO.  Just a way for execs to have a nice salary for a few more years.  In all the years I have been at involved in the markets, this is one of the worst giveaways I have seen (takeover by First Majestic).  M&A, straight buyouts, etc., happen all the ...more

I agree with your opinion on the give away. I would have liked to have seen 1 FR for 2 SVL. FR benifited greatly from this merger. I think we will all benifit from FR management in the future. They are young, smart and ambitious. We will do better with them than staying with SVL.
