Synodon Signs Collaboration Agreement With Spanish Pipeline Service Company

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Dec. 3, 2014) - Synodon Inc. ("Synodon") (TSX VENTURE:SYD) announces that at an earlier ceremony organized by the Managing Director of the Agency for Local Development ("PROMALAGA") for the City of Málaga, it has signed a Collaboration Agreement with Aganova Grupo ("Aganova"), a natural gas and water pipeline inspection service provider headquartered in Malaga, Andalucía, Spain.

Through this agreement, Synodon and Aganova will jointly market Synodon's realSens aerial integrity management services to the Spanish pipeline operators. Based on early customer feedback, the services of interest include aerial gas and liquids leak detection as well as the auxiliary airborne integrity management services including aerial photography analysis for pipeline threat detection, right-of-way change detection, vegetation encroachment, water crossing analysis and others.

"This agreement is the result of a number of market assessment discussions that were held with Spanish pipeline operators together with Aganova and is the first step forward in establishing a foothold in the Spanish market," stated Adrian Banica, CEO of Synodon Inc. "We are very pleased with the initial response and are looking forward to working with Aganova and leveraging the market position they built over the years."

"We are looking forward to working closely with Synodon at introducing their aerial pipeline integrity management solution to the Spanish operators which combined manage around 60,000 kilometers of pipelines," stated Agustin Ramirez, General Director of Aganova.

Synodon Inc. (www.synodon.com) is a technology company which has developed an advanced airborne remote gas sensing system called realSens™, based on technologies developed under the Canadian Space Program and by Synodon scientists. The company currently provides advanced airborne pipeline integrity management services to the oil and gas sector through a suite of services including natural gas and liquid hydrocarbon leak detection, pipeline threat assessments, and waterway crossings analysis among others.

Aganova Grupo (www.aganova.es) is a provider of inspection and leak detection services for the natural gas, oil and water pipeline sectors primarily in Spain but also in Colombia and Uruguay. The company has developed its own technology system called Nautilus, a rolling sonic sensor travelling freely through the pipe while detecting, locating and recording small leaks in water and oil transportation networks.

Great news. Waiting on investors response. Just another aspect that adds to the great potential of Synodon. Can't wait for a share price rally. I believe it will come shortly if we have numerous articles coming out followed by Q4 financials.

Is this good news? I don't know. They don't say in the press release how much of a cut they are giving Aganova. Without that, how can we assess whether it is good news?

Not sure what you are trying to communicate? I am confident that SYD negotiated well as it anticipates expansion!

yes i agree ,what is nostril saying?and exposure is good news ,syd is not in the buisness of giving anything away just two new contracts in spain or anywhere abroad will be expansion ,remember syd contracts are for the most part been mutiyr deals and renewed on a 90 % rate thats compounding when you keep adding contracts yr over yr ,right now syd is just trying to gain exposure ,very good news ...more

I think what I am saying is very clear. You cannot assess whether this is good news unless you know the terms of the deal they gave their new partners. Let's say they pay their new partners commission equal to 75% of all future revenues on contracts they generate in Spain. Woudl this be good news? I would say no. Now I assume that they struck a better deal than this, but how can we be ...more

no im not happy to wait until end of feb for financials release, seeing that this is owned very much by insiders  i only can assume that they are bound by how and when they release ,im only assuming, you make a good point on the news of yr end financials,as far as giving away there buisness i dont think so ,syd needs more contracts and its in a new market which i believe the europeans ,will be ...more

To be sure ask CEO or CFO. But if you want to extrapolate something be logical and use past examples. Have you noticed that in 2013 and 2014 about half of the synodon's business came through Texas Pipeline Survilience company, TAI LLC? Still their margin was more than 50%. Synodon was not dumb to give away all their profit to a partner. From this past example at least we know having an agent ...more

I have noticed another thing. After they started to get customners (Access Midstream) through TAI in Texas. They started to get other customers in Texas and surrounding places (an unnammed customer and SourceGas, see link 2) those are NOT THROUGH TAI. So having partner is a good way to start business in an area that could follow business expansion. 1. https://www.synodon.com/synodon-expands ...more

Thanks techiy, good points. I would still prefer it if we did not need to extrapolate and they just announced the terms of the deal. However, I guess that maybe their partner does not want everyone to know how much they are getting paid.
