Synodon old technology?

Synodon tested realSens in 2004. They signed with Keyera, Transgas, ATCO & Terasen (2010), Altagas (2011), Suncor (2012), Nova Chemicals, Enbridge (2013). In 2014 they renewed with now-defunct TAI Utility Services and 2015 with small company Gateway Services Group. What happened to the earlier partnerships with big companies?  Is wind a big problem for realSens gas detection?  Now C-FER Technologies is testing to identify best technologies for airborne liquid pipeline leak detection but C-FER advises Synodon is not participating.

Synodon technology is "old" but still excellent.  It works for both natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons. The realSens technology is not the problem with Synodon. Wind blows the gas away.  Same problem for realSens and for every other remote sensing technique.  realSens detects gas in windy conditions, better than other technologies.

Actually I was reading an article a few months back that was interesting. I forget the article and the company but if I can remember it I will be sure to post it. Anyway, they allegedly have a technology that is vastly superior to synodon's in that it detects a compromise to pipelines even before a break or leak develops. Goldbug62, that sounds like a technology that would have to be in intimate contact with the pipe and although some of them can measure some interesting parameters, they are prohibitively expensive to install. I'm just the messenger redmantx. I cannot even begin to respond to your comments as I have no clue what would be involved with implementing this technology. All I know is that I read this article and when I asked Paul Van Eeden about it he never responded to it. That is all I know. But really then when you think about it, what solution for detecting leaks is going to be inexpensive and not

This could be Augusta Industries V.AAO,  sounds like their tech. not pumping it but seems like good potential in lots of industries and new pipelines.  Lost my shirt (pants too) on SYD hopefully AAO works out.  Hope everyone can rebound from SYD.  Very disappointing. GLTA
