Why doesn't the CEO buy shares in Advantage?

Because he leaves all the bagholding to WildCattter!

Check his recent buy reported last week. I think he hold 1.4 million shares total.

Andy Mah hasn't bought any shares, check SEDI. Any shares that he does have are from RSU's / Options.  He never puts his own money into this company. Why?

That is a false statement that you are making. You can get into a lot of trouble.  Misinformation is not a good word these days. Get informed.
Comment by Cheadle12 on Jan 15, 2021 5:38pm
Why are these false statements?   The compay bought the shares for him under their share purchase plan, same with the rest of the insiders (except for one). It's factually correct, Andy Mah does not buy Advantage shares using his own money. Now run the same report on Tourmaline, or Crew, or Kelt.. all of the CEO's use their "OWN" money to buy the company shares.  ...more

To add to this, shareholders should be outraged. They keep diluting the share count by cutting shares for the execs (vs. buying on the open market) as stock price has languished for years. Need to tie Pay to Performance, Ovintiv are getting hammered for this now. Either Andy gets the stock price up, starts paying a dividend or it'll be another year of handing no returns back to shareholders ...more

I do not think it is a false statement. It is bought from the market. Correct me if wrong. He has 1.4 million shares of 180 million share for the company. That is valued at 4 million dollars. I do not know how much you want home to invest. Pls correct me if wrong
Comment by Cheadle12 on Jan 15, 2021 7:24pm
This is getting tiring.. do you understand how compensation works? He's not buying the shares.. if you work for a company, at an exec level, they "give" you shares as part of your total comp.   They also give you options to buy shares. That's what's happening.   If it wasn't, it would show in SEDI that he's buying on the open market unrelated to ...more

That is my understanding as well. Correct this is part of the plan my rrsp or something like that. At the end of the day the shares are bought from the market and went into his whatever account.
Comment by Cheadle12 on Jan 15, 2021 7:36pm
Yep, nothing wrong with it.. but he could at the very least dip his hand into his own pocket, with all the money he's made and makes with his pay and buy some shares.   If it was such a good investment, he would do that..
Comment by Golddetector on Jan 15, 2021 7:44pm
Well these are personal choices. Some people like to save it or spend it or invest it in other type of investments like real state or other types. After all he still have 1.4 million shares plus options. Jmo

I understand, end of story.   The others will have to educate themselves about it. Let's move on.
