AC halting air service to Calgary.
Air Canada announced that it was ending service to Calgary as of today. This announcement follows a previous announcement that they have ended air service to Saskatoon and Regina. The reason provided for the halting of air service to these 3 cities was that Air Canada was streamlining operations. It is important to note, however, that Air Canada has not ended service to less profitable centers, elsewhere in Canada but, does seem to coincide with the fact that the Governments of Saskatchewan and Alberta announced their Saskachewan First policy and the Alberta Soverenty Act only a few short weeks prior to Air Canada's actions. One has to wonder.

To be clear, Air Canada isn't "ending service to Calgary". "Air Canada is no longer offering direct flights between Calgary and two other cities, Saskatoon and Regina..."
